How to get to La Cruz Hill Lookout (Mirador La Cruz), Puerto Vallarta Power Walking Tour
This video shows you how you can get to the La Cruz Hill Lookout (Mirador del Cerro La Cruz) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
You can start off walking on Abasolo street right by the very popular attraction in downtown Puerto Vallarta called the Malecon. You start off walking up toward the hill and antenna along Abasolo street. You'll cross Guadalupe Sánchez st. and Emilio Carranza street. Continue walking straight up along the paved path, do not take any side streets or paths along the way. You'll arrive at the base of a series of steps and a cable car that take you up to La Cruz Lookout (Mirador Cerro La Cruz).
Once you get up top the top (either stairs or cablecar) you'll be treated to a perfect panoramic view of Puerto Vallarta, the downtown area, the hotel zone, Los Arcos (The Arches in the distance on the left side) and the Banderas Bay.

La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
Oh, La Cruz. We love this little town and it's terrific marina. Situated on the northeast shores of Banderas Bay, 10 miles from Puerto Vallarta, the marina and the anchorage are popular stops for cruisers. We've made two stops here so far, and will happily return in the future. Here's a little sample of the sights and sounds, including the Sunday markets.
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle-Puerto Vallarta
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is pleasant seaside village north of Puerto Vallarta. It has a beautiful marina and lots of beach bars and restaurant. This thriving ex-pat community has a very popular market every Sunday.
La Cruz Market Amazing place in Riviera Nayarit
Definitely my favorite market in the Riviera Nayarit. A great option for spent buying souvenirs and great food, also La Cruz offer authentic mexican food and a nice beach near like La Manzanilla.
The market in the marina La Cruz is a great idea because is helping to the artcrafters and local bussines to grow up in this pandemic situation.
If you are thinking in visit the market is mandatory to wear mask and pass trough the checkpoint, is FREE and for everybody, adults and children
From Puerto Vallarta you gonna take like 40 minutes and from Nuevo Vallarta like 15 minutes, places around like bucerias are like 5 minutes by car obviusly
Schedule from 9 am to 2 pm every Sunday on the high season (November to April)
Transportation is very easy from Puerto Vallarta any taxi, uber is available but is the expensive way to get La Cruz, the cheaper way is by bus with the sign of Punta Mita or La Cruz de Hunacaxtle and gonna take you like 1 hour or little bit more.
If you want a safe and nice transportation just email me and i will help you
I recomend you all the food inside of the market but if you go to my instagram profile you will find a video with a great recomendatio for seafood a great place and very tasty

Visit La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Riviera Nayarit
Visiting La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is a Mexican fishing village situated on the Pacific Ocean's Bahía de Banderas
in the state of Nayarit. It is situated approximately 25 km from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. The town name comes from a cross that is made of Huanacaxtle wood which is located at the town's entrance
Tradition has always been one of the essential characteristics of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Mexico, which is just 6-km up the coast from Bucerias.
A fishing village for generations, this coastal town has been modernized thanks to the construction of the Riviera Nayarit Marina —the largest and most modern of the corridor. Nayarit Marina has helped to create a Nayarit destination that harmoniously combines the traditional life of a Mexican pueblo with the sophistication of a modern development. So, when visiting La Cruz, as the locals call it, you will have the opportunity to witness postcardworthy scenes such as the arrival of fishermen
on the pier in their Panga boats loaded with a variety of fish.
Vacation in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Mexico and admire the beautiful sunsets as you savor a margarita in the Sky Bar located inside the Marina.
Nayarit Marina is the most modern on the Mexican Pacific with a capacity of 400 ships measuring between 30 and 400 feet. The marina is equipped with all the services needed for a comfortable stay: bathrooms and showers, security, electricity and fueling stations.
This modern La Cruz development includes a yacht club, business center, sky bar, restaurant, seafood market, and pier. It also has one of the best equipped shipyards in the country, hich among other things, is home to the largest travel lift on the Pacific. Aiming to spur additional growth of this area of Riviera Nayarit, a plan has been set in motion to house commercial spaces within the Marina for the market’s most recognized name brands, condominiums and restaurants.
The village charms of La Cruz would not be complete without
the golden sands of La Cruz Beach, which covers five kilometers and is divided into five sections: El Tizate, Cruz de Huanacaxtle, La Manzanilla, Piedra Blanca, and Arena Blanca.
You will find not only the obvious delights of a tropical beach, but also a variety of restaurants where you can dine on dishes of freshly caught fish and creations that have been a culinary tradition of this town for more than 50 years.
And there is no shortage of things to do in the area. Enjoy numerous local activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing (in winter the waves reach heights adequate for this sport), and of course fishing.
Deep sea fishing is one of the main water activities of La Cruz, thanks to the abundance of fish species such as tuna, marlin and mahi-mahi.
Imagine fishing tournaments held under the glowing light of a full moon and colorful festivals with the Pacific Ocean as the guest of honor. Tie up your yacht in this town where tradition still abounds.
All of this and more awaits you where the “tree that hears” anticipates the sound of your voice.
La Cruz Farmer’s Market now hosts around 200 vendors each Sunday from November to April, 10am to 2 pm. It is one of the most amazing open-air markets you will ever visit! Vendors offer everything from clothes to ceramics to freshly baked bread.
The La Cruz Sunday Farmer’s Market mission is to promote community development in La Cruz through educational, cultural, and recreational activities. With the growth of the market, their social projects have
grown as well. Enjoy the images! Visit our YouTube channel for more Puerto Vallarta - Riviera Nayarit videos.
We provide information and resources for visitors to Puerto Vallarta, areas of The Riviera Nayarit and other destinations in both states of Jalisco and Nayarit . Authentic Mexico In A Small Fishing Village.
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle (The Cross of Huanacaxtle) is a Mexican fishing village situated on the Pacific Ocean's Bahía de Banderas in the state of Nayarit. You can also admire a beautiful sunset as you savor a margarita in the Sky Bar located inside the Marina. “We seek contact with authentic Mexico,” expresses Rafael Alcántar, Harbor Master of the La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Marina, the most modern on the Mexican Pacific with a capacity of 400 ships measuring between 30 and 400 feet.
The marina is equipped with all the services needed for a comfortable stay: bathrooms and showers, security, electricity, and fueling stations. Upon arriving in Destiladeras, you will be enraptured not only by the beautiful scenery of the bay but also by the family-friendly and welcoming ambiance that can be felt all along the five-kilometer (three-mile) beach. It is common to see groups of young people and children playing with a ball, building interesting sandcastles or jumping into the waves with their boogie boards.
