Exploring Port Dinorwic Railway Station - closed abandoned disused Felinheli Caernarfon Bangor

Port Dinorwic station served the small village of Felinheli between 1874 and 1964 and was located on the Bangor to Caernarfon line, on the banks of the Menai Straits.

The village grew as a port for the surrounding slate quarries.

Passenger services ceased in 1960, and freight in 1964. The line finally closed in 1972 and is now a public walkway.

The station building remains and was converted into residential use about 10 years ago. A few industrial units have been built next to the station on the former trackbed.

Steam Trains at Speed On The Mainline - Volume 1

With plenty of spare time at the moment, I have finally had a moment to put together a steam at speed compilation, so sit back and enjoy these mainline monsters let off the leash in Southern England, operating upto the current permitted 75mph limit.
Featuring 9 Locomotives:
SR West Country No.34046 'Braunton'
SR Battle of Britain No.34067 'Tangmere'
SR Merchant Navy No.35018 'British India Line'
SR Merchant Navy No.35028 'Clan Line'
LNER A4 No.60009 'Union of South Africa'
LMS Royal Scot No.46115 'Scots Guardsman'
LMS Jubilee No. 45699 'Galatea'
LMS Black 5 No.45212
BR 7MT No.70013 'Oliver Cromwell'

Footage taken between 2009 - 2019

Foot note:
Diesel locomotives Tail Gunner
The use of Diesel locomotives on some tours is because of operational reasons. Some of the tours run to destinations with no turning facilities, so the diesel hauls the train to a location where the steam loco can take over again. They are also used for train heating, assistance on steep gradients(especially during leaf fall season)and are a great help if any problems arise with the steam loco.
Most Diesels used are interesting machines in their own right too, with most of then now over 50 years old, some even 60 years old now.

Train to grange

left the car at home and got the train decided to go to Grange over sands as the station is on the beach and not to far to walk unless you fancy a pint or two
turned out to be a sunny and hot day

Black 5 power-sound

Just listen as Black 5 45305 leaves Leicester North on the Great Central Railway. The driver eases the train out of the station, but once the carriages are clear of the platform, he really opens her up.The sound volume took me (and my camera) by surprise.

I tried First Class on Britain’s WORST high-speed train...

This is one of the worst trains I've EVER been on! 🤢 But today, I'll be trying out the GWR IET in First Class on the company's longest possible route, to see if this premium product makes the on-board experience any better.

Origin: Penzance

Bristol Temple Meads 'Train' Station - the oldest and largest railway station in Bristol, England

Bristol Temple Meads is an important transport hub for public transport in the city. In addition to the train services there are bus services to many parts of the city and surrounding districts, and a ferry to the city centre. Bristol's other main line station, Bristol Parkway, is on the northern outskirts of the conurbation.
Temple Meads was opened on 31 August 1840 as the western terminus of the Great Western Railway from London Paddington, 116 miles 31 chains (187.3 km) from Paddington. The railway (including Temple Meads) was the first one designed by the British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Soon the station was also used by the Bristol and Exeter Railway, the Bristol and Gloucester Railway, the Bristol Harbour Railway and the Bristol and South Wales Union Railway. To accommodate the increasing number of trains, the station was expanded in the 1870s by Francis Fox and again between 1930-35 by Percy Emerson Culverhouse.[1] Brunel's terminus is no longer part of the operational station. The historical significance of the station has been noted, and most of the site is Grade I listed.[1]
The platforms are numbered 1 to 15 but passenger trains are confined to just eight tracks. Most platforms are numbered separately at each end, with odd numbers at the east end and even numbers at the west. Platform 2 is not signalled for passenger trains, and there is no platform 14.[2]
Temple Meads is managed by Network Rail[3] and the majority of services are operated by the present-day Great Western Railway. Other operators are CrossCountry and South West Trains. In the 12 months to March 2014, 9.5 million entries and exits were recorded at the station.

United States:
The United States of America (USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S.) or America (/əˈmɛrɪkə/), is a federal republic[16][17] composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions.[fn 6] Forty-eight states and the federal district are contiguous and located in North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwest corner of North America, bordered by Canada to the east and across the Bering Strait from Russia to the west. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific Ocean. The U.S. territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, stretching across nine official time zones. The extremely diverse geography, climate and wildlife of the United States make it one of the world's 17 megadiverse countries.[19]
At 3.8 million square miles (9.8 million km2)[20] and with over 324 million people, the United States is the world's third- or fourth-largest country by total area,[fn 7] and the third-most populous. The capital is Washington, D.C., and the largest city is New York City; twelve other major metropolitan areas—each with at least 4.5 million inhabitants—are Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Riverside.
