Sapa is a mountainous town in northern Vietnam, known for its stunning landscapes, rice terraces, and ethnic minority communities. Here are my top 10 recommendations for places to visit in Sapa:
1. Fansipan Mountain - This is the highest peak in Indochina and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Visitors can hike to the summit or take a cable car to the top.
2. Muong Hoa Valley - This beautiful valley is located just outside of Sapa and is home to some of the most stunning rice terraces in Vietnam. Visitors can hike through the valley and see the beautiful landscapes and traditional villages.
3. Cat Cat Village - This traditional Hmong village is located just outside of Sapa and is a great place to learn about the local culture and customs. Visitors can see traditional houses, costumes, and crafts.
4. Ham Rong Mountain - This scenic mountain is located in the heart of Sapa and offers stunning views of the town and surrounding mountains. Visitors can hike or take a cable car to the top.
5. Love Waterfall - This beautiful waterfall is located just outside of Sapa and is a popular spot for hiking and sightseeing. Visitors can also swim in the pool at the base of the waterfall.

Top 10 địa điểm du lịch miền núi phía Bắc đẹp tựa “tiên cảnh nhân gian”
1.Sapa Lào Cai – Thị trấn mờ sương giữa núi rừng Tây Bắc
Du lịch miền núi phía Bắc – Sapa được biết đến là xứ sở sương mù với phong cảnh hữu tình, mộng mơ, ẩn chứa bao điều kỳ diệu của cảnh sắc thiên nhiên, con người. Đến với Sapa để được chiêm ngưỡng vẻ đẹp hoang sơ của núi rừng hùng vĩ, những thửa ruộng bậc thang tầng tầng lớp lớp vàng ruộm chân trời. Tận hưởng bầu không khí trong lành và cảm nhận sự bình yên, giản dị của những bản làng ẩn hiện trong sương.
2.Mộc Châu – Điểm du lịch miền núi phía Bắc nhất định phải tới
Mộc Châu nổi tiếng với những nông trại bò sữa và đồi chè bạt ngàn, xanh ngát. Nơi đây có khí hậu mát mẻ quanh năm, không khí lại trong lành, luôn phảng phất thơm mùi cây cỏ, làm tâm hồn mệt mỏi bỗng chốc thấy thư thái nhẹ nhàng.
3.Du lịch miền núi phía Bắc – Cao nguyên đá Hà Giang
Không thể thiếu mặt khi điểm danh các địa điểm du lịch miền núi phía Bắc đó chính là Cao nguyên đá Hà Giang. Hà Giang là một tỉnh vùng cao phía Đông Bắc, là nơi địa đầu Tổ Quốc với điểm cuối là cột cờ Lũng Cú – Đồng Văn.
4. Tà Xùa, Sơn La – Du lịch miền núi phía Bắc
Nằm ở độ cao từ 1.500 – 1.800 mét so với mặt nước biển, nên Tà Xùa có khí hậu mát mẻ quanh năm. Bạn có thể đến Tà Xùa vào bất cứ thời điểm nào bạn thích. Tuy nhiên, nếu bạn muốn săn mây Tà Xùa, thích hợp nhất là tháng 10 năm trước đến tháng 4 năm sau. Muốn tránh cái nóng oi bức thì đi Tà Xùa vào mùa hè, muốn thử cái lạnh “cắt da cắt thịt” và đôi khi ngắm tuyết rơi thì đi Tà Xùa vào mùa đông. Nhìn chung thời tiết ở Tà Xùa là mát mẻ, se se lạnh.
Săn mây hiện nay đang là thú vui “hot” được giới trẻ nhắc đến rất nhiều. Theo đó, dân phượt thi nhau tìm đến các địa điểm săn mây trong đó có Tà Xùa để nhìn ngắm, chụp hình,… Theo kinh nghiệm săn mây Tà Xùa của rất nhiều người thì có nhiều nơi để bạn có thể săn mây như: ngay tại xã Tà Xùa, Xím Vàng, Háng Đồng, Sống Lưng Khủng Long,…
5. Du lịch Cao Bằng tham quan Thác Bản Giốc và suối Lênin
Không chỉ nổi tiếng bởi các địa danh lịch sử như: suối Lê Nin, hang Pác Bó mà Cao Bằng còn được thiên nhiên ưu ái ban tặng cho một danh lam thắng cảnh tuyệt vời, thu hút đông đảo khách du lịch, đó chính là Thác Bản Giốc – một trong số những thác thiên đường với vẻ đẹp hùng vĩ, hấp dẫn.
6. Y Tý – Du lịch miền núi phía Bắc
Y Tý là một xã vùng cao thuộc huyện Bát Xát, tỉnh Lào Cai. Y Tý nằm ở độ cao trên 2.000m, lưng tựa vào dãy núi Nhìu Cồ San, đỉnh Y Tý cao tới 2.660m, gần như quanh năm mây phủ.
7. Mai Châu Hòa Bình – Thung lũng nhỏ xinh

Bac Ha Market is a popular cultural market, hidden away among the mountains in North Vietnam in the city of Lao Cai. Here, tourists can buy locally made products such as bags, scarves, shawls, and much more. There are several hotels in the market too that serve local cuisines.
Ho Thi Ky flower night market. Do you like flowers? Well, at Ho Thi Ky flower market you can find almost any type of flower that grows in Vietnam. The market is usually open every day and night. People like visiting the market in the afternoon when there are fewer people around.
Ha Long night market is the best place to go for souvenirs and gift shopping. It is located near Bai Chay beach. Besides buying souvenirs, you can also get a taste of the local cuisine. The market is open every day from 6 pm to midnight.

The first words on everyone’s lips when speaking of Vietnam are undoubtedly “Halong Bay,” a beautiful set of karst islands and formations off the northern coast. Hanoi is the bustling, motorbike filled capital. There’s plenty of historical heritage at Hoi An, the beaches sparkle at the resort city of Nha Trang, and the Mekong Delta is full of winding waterways, floating markets, and lush scenery. About SAPA:
Sapa is a small town, 350 km north of Hanoi, near the Chinese border. Sapa is known for having spectacular views of a valley with rice fields that can be seen on clear days, with mountains towering on all sides from above. The view of this epic landscape is often tempered by dense fog that rolls over the tops, but even when it is cloudy, the local hill tribes fill the city with color.
HOW TO GET TO SAPA?
Sapa does not have an airport, but there are direct buses from Hanoi and there is a train station not too far from Sapa town.
-Buses to Sapa
The bus from Hanoi to Sapa is the cheapest option. The advantage of a bus connection is that it goes directly to the city of Sapa, without stopping anywhere and the bus also runs at night, just like the trains. The bus trip from Hanoi takes around 5 to 6 hours.

Many people who travel to Sapa choose the train because it is safe, comfortable, convenient and time-saving. The disadvantage is that the train only takes you to Lao Cai station and from there you have to take a bus, minibus or taxi to Sapa.
HOW MANY DAYS TO STAY?
It is best to stay from 2 to 4 days in Sapa. A minimum of three days is the best if you want to visit some sights, make a trekking and visit a local minority market.

You can choose your hotel near SAPA city center. It's the best location to stay as you can walk around the center park, FansiPan Cable car station, local market, near by coffee cafes, lake and garden. We stayed at Chau Long Sapa. Its has a the most amazing view of mountain from balcony, a nice swimming pool and at walking distance from city center. We would difinatly recomend you to consider this options.

THINGS TO DO IN SAPA
- Take the cable car to the higest mountain in Vietnam, Fansipan.
- Explore Sapa Town
- Make a trekking through the green rice terraces of the Lào Cai Village.
- Learn more about the culture and traditions of the local hill tribes at Cat Cat village.
- Explore the area by motorbike and drive to the Silver Waterfall.
- Visit a local colorful market.

Food Options in SAPA
There are some good vegan restaurents in SAPA. You can use 'Happy cow' app for reference. We went to this amazing place named 'Vegan for Love'. They have some very good vegan options in the menu. Do try their Noodle soup. Also, in vietnam they have culture of Coffee cafe, so you should consider spending your evening in one of those. And in SAPA specifically you will get these small water chestnut cake known as Banh Hat de. Those are a must try iin SAPA. You will not get those in Vietnam anywhere else.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
- The best time to visit Sapa is from March to May and from September to November. During these times the weather is very comfortable. It is dry, clear with a lot of sunshine. The view of the terraces of Sapa is at its best.
- September and October. The cool and dry weather with the stable temperature makes it the perfect for trekking and photos.
- In the summer although it is quite warm, but it is not as hot as in other regions of Vietnam.
- If you spend some time in this city between April and May, you have the chance to see the beautiful landscapes of many colourful flowers and green fields.
- In winter, from December to February, the weather in Sapa becomes very cold, especially at night.
In return however, you get the chance to watch the sunrise over the valley in the morning. Snow has also fallen in Sapa in recent years.
