Castle complex of Counts Plāters – an architectural monument of the 18th century.
Construction of the complex of the central building began around 1765 after the project of architect A. Parako. Paintings of the interior of the castle walls are the most outstanding monument of Latgale’s secular architecture of the 18th century. In addition to the castle, farm buildings were built: palace housekeeper and gardener houses, stable, orangery. Around the castle was created approximately 22 ha large park. Its dendrological composition in nowadays is very wide – around 70 different species of trees and shrubs. The park has a restored cave with a mysterious “underground passage” and a guard of the castle – a lion.
Krāslava History and Art Museum is located in one of the buildings of the complex. From the observation deck at the castle, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Daugava river and the city.

- Preiļi (its manor in the process of being reborn)
- Velnezers (Devil's lake, a quiet and mysterious place in a forest near to Aglona)
- Vējiņi underground lakes (the only of its kind in the Baltics)
All this was shot mostly on Panasonic Lumix GH5, with some exceptions when I was being lazy - iPhone 12 Pro Max and Canon 5D Mark IV.

Daugavpils is the second largest city in Latvia and it’s also known to be the most russian one. Latvians are only about one fifth of city’s population.
Daugavpils was on my wish list for many years, but it always seemed too far to visit as it takes a good four hour drive from the Latvian capital. But as I am making my way down to Lithuania it felt like a perfect time to finally visit Daugavpils. Join me!

DAUGAVAS LOKI - Scenic area in Latgale, Latvia | Drone footage
This is my 4K UHD drone footage of the DAUGAVAS LOKI nature park filmed near 3 locations: Vasargelišķu skatu tornis, Lazdukalnu skatu tornis and Lielbornes muiža. It is a beautiful iconic area with a valley that is located in Latgale (Southeast region of Latvia), located between Daugavpils and Kraslava cities. Some years ago there were plans to build a hydroelectric plant but currently these are not actual anymore and we can enjoy the scenery.
This has been a DJI Mavic mini drone that was used to capture 4K 30 fps footage. Enjoy!

Korneti - mūsu šī gada Latvijas tūrisma objektu atklājums - 7 vai vairāk ezeriņi vienuviet, radot skaistu dabas ainavu, ko vietējie ir iekārtojuši tūristam pieejamu un baudāmu- Kornetu centrā atrodas moderns info centrs ar interaktīvu ekrānu, kā arī kemperu stāvlaukums ar elektrības pieslēgumu un sauso tualeti. Takas garumā ir izvietoti arī vingrojumu stendi, kas aicina vairāk izkustēties papildus pastaigai. Taka ved pa ezeru krastu un caur sūnām nozaļojušu mežu- ir skaisti.
9. Kornetu skatu tornis pie Dzērves ezera- 27 m augsts tornis, no kura paveras skaists skats uz tuvējo apkārtni.
10. No torņa ved dabas taka uz Drusku pilskalnu. Drusku kalnā (ejot no pilskalna uz šosejas pusi) atrodas panorāmas info stends, kas pavērsts uz Igaunijas pusi- šeit var apskatīt, kur Igaunijā atrodas Munameģis- gan kartē, gan dabā, kā arī citas interesantas augstienes vietas Igaunijā un Latvijā. Šajā Latvijas-Igaunijas pierobežā ir daudz pauguru/kalnu, kā arī vairāki skatu torņi apskatei.
11. Salaiņa ezers, Launkalnes pagasts - ezers no augšas atgādina mūsu skaistās Latvijas kontūru.
