Jammu and Kashmir, officially known as the Princely State of Kashmir and Jammu, was a princely state during the British East India Company rule as well as the British Raj in India from 1846 to 1952. The princely state was created after the First Anglo-Sikh War, from the territories that had earlier been in Sikh Empire. The western and northern districts presently known as Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan passed to the control of Pakistan, while the remaining territory remained under Indian control as the Indian-administered union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The history of the world is indeed intriguing. There have been events and personalities that have changed its course over time. We can't really go back and witness everything that happened. But there are moments that have been captured on camera which give us a rare insight into how history took its path and led the world to where it is today.
Some of these images are sad, some as random as they can be, but many are shocking and surprising. But the rarity will keep you spellbound till the very end of the list.

Holiday in Maldives
The settlement on the islands dates back thousands of years. The people of the island, who had previously been Buddhists, chose Muslims through the communication of Arab merchant Abul Barakhat Al-Bar Bari. The Maldives, struggling with the attacks of the Portuguese and the Dutch respectively, and shortly after their domination, have had to submit to the dominance of the British for 75 years and gained their independence from England in 1965. Later, King Muhammad Fareed continued his reign for 3 years. On November 11, 1968, the Monarchy was abolished and the President of Abraham Nasir was elected president. Many resorts have a no news-no shoes application. (No news reading, no shoes!) Most of the facilities have a buttler (some kind of servant, only serving you). In addition, many resorts do not accept children under 12 years of age. (Such as The Beach House, W Retreat, Baros Island Resort). Water Bungalows are again forbidden for safety reasons for children under 12 years old.

The first mosques were simple places of prayer for Muslims, and may have been open spaces rather than buildings.[4] In the first stage of Islamic architecture, 650-750 CE, early mosques comprised open and closed covered spaces enclosed by walls, often with minarets from which calls to prayer were issued.[5] Mosque buildings typically contain an ornamental niche (mihrab) set into the wall that indicates the direction of Mecca (qiblah),[1] ablution facilities.[1][6] The pulpit (minbar), from which the Friday (jumu'ah) sermon (khutba) is delivered, was in earlier times characteristic of the central city mosque, but has since become common in smaller mosques.[7][1] Mosques typically have segregated spaces for men and women.[1] This basic pattern of organization has assumed different forms depending on the region, period and denomination.[6]

MASJID AL-FATEH
The mosque is the largest place of worship in Bahrain. It is located next to the King Faisal Highway in Juffair, which is a town located in the capital city of Manama. Built in 1988 the mosque and was named after Ahmed Al-Fateh (Ahmed ibn Muhammad ibn Khalifa) who was the founder of Bahrain (in the 18th century). The mosque has the ability to host over 7000 worshippers and includes some interesting features. There is also a library with several thousand books including some over a century old as well.
The huge dome built on top of the Al-Fateh Mosque is constructed entirely of fiberglass. Weighing over 60 Mega grams (tone), the dome is currently the world's largest fiberglass dome. The marble used in the floors is Italian and the chandelier is from Austria. The doors are made of teak wood from India. Throughout the mosque are calligraphy writings in a very old type of style called Kufic
The mosque is open for tours daily from 9am to 4pm (except Fridays) and is one of the few mosques in the area that is open and encourages non-Muslims to visit.
Please make sure you dress appropriately for the mosque. There is some clothes they have on loan for those who are not dressed as conservatively though so be sure to ask in case you arrive without proper attire.
The mosque is free to visit and the tour is quite good. I’ve been on the tour a few times with different people and each one was a bit different. So it might be worth another visit if you find yourself in town with other folks as well.
Feel free to ask lots of questions, actually it is encouraged. I found the tour guides to be fantastic and quite knowledgeable.
Mosques are meant for prayer so note that during prayers times the mosque will be closed to visitors. However most of the prayer times are the start of when a particular prayer occurs so there is some leeway in prayer times. So if see people praying during your visit, please don’t disturb them.
