In 1976 I purchased a 1970 American Motors AMX automobile and in the summer of 1977 attended a national meet for owners of these rare little hotrods in Kenosha, Wisconsin where they were originally built. I had never even heard of Kenosha until I purchased the car. For years I would attend this annual meet and along the way fell in love with this beautiful city on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The City of Kenosha has evolved through many changes over the past 45 years and so have I. However, I still own the AMX and I'm still passionate about this city. I think everyone in the United States should visit the City of Kenosha at some point and experience, the beauty and historical signifiance of the town.
I plan to produce a 2nd documentary covering other sites in Kenosha although this video covers the following:

Kenosha, Wisconsin, is a picturesque harbor town located on the shores of Lake Michigan. In this video, we explore the beauty of outdoor Kenosha, featuring activities that won't cost you a dime. It's a wonderful place to visit all year round, and we invite you to join us for a fun-filled adventure that will provide you with ideas for your own visit.
The historic downtown area is a sight to behold, with stunning views of Lake Michigan, two lighthouses, and a sculpture walk that changes every few years. Jockey International, a popular clothing brand, has its headquarters in Kenosha, and their factory store downtown is a great place to find bargains.
Nearby, Carthage College boasts stunning architecture against the shimmering waters of the great lake, making it a must-see destination for visitors.

Kenosha Wisconsin:Exploring the Lakefront and Downtown District
Today we explore the Kenosha area, specifically along the lakefront and the downtown district.
We will experience the harbor at Simmon's Island during the sunrise hour. Then we'll meander along the lakefront
from the south end of town through the downtown district and finally back to Simmons Island for the sunset.
Along the way, we will see many points of interest such as The Southport Beachhouse and park, the Allendale
neighborhood, the Kemper Center grounds, Library Park, the downtown district, and finally back to Simmon's Island
to see the old Southport Lighthouse and enjoy the sunset over the city.
