Solo Woman Rider Crosses into Iran on a BMW F800GS. EP 10

Iran was the 9th country I visited on my round the world tour. Officially motorcycles over 250cc are illegal in Iran and woman are not allowed to ride. But Iran is a strange country where the law is one thing and the way people interpret it, another. Normally these laws apply to Iranian citizens but not so much to tourists on big bikes. During my stay I didn't have any problems at the border crossings or on the road when stopped by Police... and I was stopped a lot!

Despite how Iran is perceived in the world’s media and how distorted the public’s knowledge of Iran is, It's a stable country, open to tourism, with a low crime rate. All the people I've come across were kind and generous, even the Police! As a woman travelling solo, I've never felt safer than in Iran.
I entered Iran from Turkmenistan and traveled South. This Episode shows my first few days through
Dasht-e Kavir (Salt Desert) from Bojnurd to Yazd.

If you wish to get more details on my stay in Iran check out my blog post:

THRILLZ:

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously:

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉

The Pioneer of Scuba Diving in Raja Ampat | Max Ammer | Indonesia

Watch this an inspiring story of Max Ammer, the pioneer of scuba diving in Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia. With over 30 years of experience, Max is the founder of Papua Diving Resorts, and he was the first to open a dive resort in the Raja Ampat region, including Kri Eco Resort and Sorido Bay Resort.

The Raja Ampat archipelago, known as the Last Paradise on Earth, is situated at the intersection of the Pacific and Indian Oceans in the Coral Triangle. The marine biodiversity in this area is the highest in the world, boasting more than 540 species of coral, over 1,000 species of coral fish, and more than 700 species of mollusks. In this video, we'll take you on a journey to witness the beauty and diversity of the Raja Ampat marine life and learn about Max's story as a pioneer in scuba diving.

25:04 Max's Guide

My wife and I have had the pleasure of exploring various dive resorts in Raja Ampat since we first discovered the area. However, Sorido Bay Resort has easily become our favourite, and we have already visited twice. The resort's unparalleled combination of exceptional diving, the world's greatest marine biodiversity, and the wonderful facilities make it our favourite destination on Earth. For avid divers, it is undoubtedly a paradise that we hope to visit countless more times in the future.

We owe immense gratitude to the numerous individuals and organizations who have contributed to the making of this video. Their names are duly credited at the end of the video.

When a Cameroonian Arrives in Abidjan, Ivory Coast 🇨🇮

If you're interested in exploring Ivory Coast for the first time, then this video is for you! In this video, we'll walk you through the highlights of our first day in Cote d'Ivoire, including our arrival and the sights we saw.

Cote d'Ivoire is a beautiful country and this video will give you a brief introduction to what to expect on your trip. From the villages on the coast to the lush forests inland, this video is a great way to get started on your Ivory Coast adventure!

Côte d'Ivoire is a West African country with beach resorts, rainforests and a French-colonial legacy. Abidjan, on the Atlantic coast, is the country’s major urban center. Its modern landmarks include zigguratlike, concrete La Pyramide and St. Paul's Cathedral, a swooping structure tethered to a massive cross. North of the central business district, Banco National Park is a rainforest preserve with hiking trails.
