*Ongole, the largest of all cities in Prakasam district, is a blend of various cultures. The ancient city has a rich heritage as is evident from the fact that it was mentioned in the inscriptions belonging to the 3rd century when it was ruled by the Pallavas.
*The beach of Kothapatanam is located on the Bay of Bengal, at a distance of 25 km from Ongole.
*The beach is not only famous for its recreational activities, but also for its religious importance. During the Karthika Purnima festival, a multitude of devotees visit the beach to take a holy dip. *During the rest of the year, the beach is visited for recreational activities and picnics.

Recently we visited a place that is near to our area. We would like to share the details in this video.
Kandula Obula Reddy Gundlakamma Reservoir Project is an irrigation project across the Gundlakamma River located in Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, India. The dam, with 56 million cubic meters of live storage capacity, is located across the Gundlakamma River.

Singarayakonda is a census town in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Singarayakonda mandal. Singarayakonda is 26 m above sea level. It is spread across 10 Grama panchayats. It is under Kandukur Revenue division.
Singarayakonda is located 30 kilometers from Ongole. This is situated on the NH-5 Highway and has a connectivity of the Railway line between Vijayawada and Chennai. This gives highest revenue than any other station in this line of South Central Railway in the Prakasam district

The city is connected by road to major destinations. National Highway 16, a part of Golden Quadrilateral highway network, bypasses the city. National Highway 216 connects the city with Kathipudi. The city has a total road length of 738.50 km. Ongole bus station is owned and operated by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. The station is also equipped with a bus depot for storage and maintenance of buses. The 'Passengers delight project' was implemented at the bus station for improving cleanliness and modernizing it.
