1. The Akshardham temple: The Akshardham Temple in Delhi is the largest temple in the world. It is spread over 1000 acres. It is the largest comprehensive Hindu temple in the world by Guinness World Records. This magnificent temple is dedicated to Swaminarayan, an 18th-century Indian yogi, and spiritual teacher.
2. Angkor Wat Temple, Cambodia: The Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia is the largest temple in the world where Vishnu is realized. The temple was built on the banks of the Mekong River and is visited by millions of people every year. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, the abode of the gods in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology. Angkor Wat Temple is one of the great cultural wonders of the world with over a thousand buildings spread over an area of about 400 acres.
3. Annamalai Temple, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu: The Annamalai Temple in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu is a sacred Hindu shrine spread over an area of over one lakh square meters at the foot of the Annamalai Hills. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is associated with the Pancha Bhuta places. In this temple, Lord Shiva appears in the form of a lingam and is known as Annamalaiyar or Arunachaleshwar. The element of fire is especially revered here and the symbol of Shiva is referred to as the fire lingam. He is accompanied by his wife Parvati Devi, who is revered as Unnamulai Amman. 4. Belur Math, West Bengal: Swami Vivekananda, the chief disciple of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in Bengal, built the Belur Math on the banks of the Hooghly River. It is spread over 40 acres. It engages us with the sculptures that are on it.
5. Brihadishwarar Temple, Thanjavur: The Brihadishwarar Temple in Thanjavur dates back to the 11th century. This is the first temple of a similar shape. It was built with granite rocks. One of the finest wonders of Indian architecture. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this temple, which is an image of God ... Trinetru appears in the form of a huge Shivalinga.
6. Jambukeshwar Temple, Tamil Nadu:
Jambukeshwarar Temple, also known as Thiruvanaikaval, is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. The temple is considered to be one of the five major Shiva temples in the entire state of Tamil Nadu. The five famous Shiva temples represent one of the five basic elements of nature and the Jambukeshwara Temple is famous for symbolizing the water element.

Akkanna and Madanna Caves in Vijayawada are the largest excavations in its group. Akkana and Madanna, who were ministers in the court of Abdul Hasan Tanashah in the 17th century.and these rock-cut caves were named after them. Though Akkanna and Madanna were not responsible for the carving of these caves, they were actively associated with them as they had their Secretariat on these premises.

Recently I have visited Sri Lakshmi Narasihma swamy temple which is located in Kadiri town, Puttaparti district, Andhra Pradesh.
This is one of the oldest Lakshmi Narasihma swamy temple among all Narasihma swamy temples in India. This temple is located 30kms from Puttaparti, 60kms from Anantapur and 180kms from Bengaluru, nearest railway station is Kadiri road railway station which is approximately 5-6kms from temple.
Temple timings is 05:30 am to 01:30 pm and 04:30pm to 08:30pm.

At a distance of 1.5 km Kadiri Railway Station, 100 km from Anantapur, 113 km from Kadapa, 458 km from Hyderabad, 476 km from Vijayawada, and 174 km from Bangalore, Sri Kadiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in Kadiri town in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, a Man-lion form and is one of the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu.
Lord Narasimha in this temple is swayambhu emerging from the roots of Khadri tree (Indian mulberry). The specialty of this temple is that after the daily Abhishekam is performed, the idol of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha oozes sweat continuously even after repeatedly wiping off sweat by the temple priests.
The construction of this temple is said to have been commenced during the Western Chalukya rule but it was completed during the time of Vijayanagara rulers. The inscriptions in the temple relate mostly to the Vijayanagar period. One of them states that the temple was built by a Nayaka during the reign of Bukka I in 1332 AD. The raja gopuram was built by Harihararaya. The popular king of Vijayanagara Sri Krishna Devaraya and Maharashtra King Shivaji visited this famous temple and constructed sub temples and Mahishasuramardini Temple respectively.
The temple is enclosed in large walled compound with 4 entrances having a gopura over each entrance. On the eastern entrance one can see the idol of Anjaneya. Garbgriha is decorated beautifully with four lions in corner. There is an idol of Prahalada standing beside the lord. Sri Mahalakshmi, the Lords consort is known here by the name of Sri Amruthavalli. The procession image of the deity is in the form of Vishnu made of metal with Bhudevi and Sridevi on either side. The temple is facing east; with a large pushkarini (temple tank) in the north east corner of the temple.
Inside the temple, every wall is covered with beautiful and delicate carvings of gods and puranic scenes.
Annual chariot festival or Rathothsavam is conducted every year in this temple in grand manner. On this holy day a huge Chariot with Lord Lakshmi Narasimha presiding in it is pulled by hundreds of devotees on the streets. Lakhs of devotees attend this Rathothsavam to participate in the festival.
Accommodation at reasonable rates is available in temple premises and is managed by temple administration.
Timings: 6.30 AM - 12.30 PM and 4.30 PM - 8.30 PM
