जालौन उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक जिला है , जो मुख्य रूप से अपने ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक स्मारकों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। , इस जगह ने ऐतिहासिक रूप से कई उतार-चढ़ाव देखे हैं, जिनके पीछे एक इतिहास है। एक बहुत प्रसिद्ध ऋषि जलवान थे, जिनके नाम पर इस जिले का नाम जालौन पड़ा। इसी जिले में ‘आल्हा उदल’ के मामा भी रहते थे। जिसे “माहिल की नगरी” उरई कहा जाता है।उरई जालौन का सबसे बड़ा शहर और मुख्यालय है , यहां पर प्रसिद्ध माहिल का तालाब भी स्थित है। कालपी इस जिले का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे पुराना शहर है। इस शहर का उल्लेख महापुरादो में मिलता यह स्थान महृषि वेद व्यास का जन्मस्थान है । उन्होंने महाभारतपौराणिक ग्रन्थ लिखा था।

Ep 5 Kalpi to Jhansi | Lanka Minar, Hand made paper industry, Ved Vyas Mandir | Uttar Pradesh Tour
Kalpi is a historical city in Uttar Pradesh. It is about 35 km away from Orai and 165 km away from Lucknow. Kalpi is also famous for its specialisation in providing Handmade Paper with different designs and patterns in different thicknesses and sizes which are suitable for a variety of decorative purposes.

This video was shot on 8th April 2023, below are the activities we did throughout the day.
Lanka Minar - Mathura Prasad had built this Lanka in the memory of Ravana. This tower is about 210 meters high. Huge statues of Ravana's brother Kumbhakarna and Meghnath are made at the Lanka Minar. The statue of Kubhkarna is 100 feet and the 65 feet statue of Meghnath is present here.
Sajan Dhaba - We had breakfast here. This dhaba is located near Chaurasi Gumbad.
Aloo Paratha with Curd - Rs 160
Chaurasi Gumbad - It is also known as Lodi Shah’s tomb built in the 15-16th century. This ancient building has eighty-four doors. The entire building is divided into a square shape in the form of a chessboard. The building has a dome of 60 feet in height. This building is at a distance of 1 km from kalpi.
Annapurna Enterprises (Kapli) - We saw the paper production process here.
Van Vishram Bhawan (Kalpi) - This 35 feet high beautiful rectangular building with a huge dome above it, the ruins of the fort of Chandelas. This building was used by Rani Jhansi and other freedom fighters during the mid 19th century.. Especially during 1857 mutiny period.
Veda Vyas Temple - This place is situated on a hill on the banks of the river Yamuna. Here is the birthplace of Lord Ved Vyasa. This temple is very ancient. There is a Neem tree in this temple, whose specialty is that the trunk and branches of this tree are like the head of an elephant.
This neem tree is believed to be a representation of Lord Ganesha.Who helped Ved Vyas Ji in writing the Mahabharata.
Pachnada View Point - This is the point where you can see five different rivers sangam. Yamuna, Sindh, Pahuj, Kunwari, Chambal rivers meet here.
In the evening we had dinner at a dhaba on the highway on the way to Jhansi and ended our day at Jhansi.

भारत की इस मीनार में जाने वाले भाई-बहन बन जाते हैं पति-पत्नी, पूरा सच जान आपका भी चकरा जाएगा सिर
ऐसा कहा जाता है कि इस मीनार पर भाई-बहन एक साथ चढ़कर ऊपर जा नहीं जा सकते। चलिए इस कहानी के बारे में अच्छे से जानते हैं।
इस मीनार की अजीब मान्यता रावण को समर्पित है। उत्तर प्रदेश के जालौन जिले में स्थित इस मीनार के अंदर रावण के पूरे परिवार के चित्र बनाए गए हैं। वैसे मीनार ज्यादा बड़ी नहीं है, लेकिन अपनी अजीब मान्यता की वजह से ये जगह एक टूरिस्ट स्पॉट में बदल चुकी है। इस स्थान का अनुभव लेने के लिए लोग यहां दूर-दूर से आते हैं।
इस मीनार के निर्माण की कहानी बड़ी दिलचस्प है. जानकारी के अनुसार, यह मीनार 1857 में, मथुरा प्रसाद नामक एक व्यक्ति द्वारा बनवाई गई थी. कहते हैं कि मथुरा प्रसाद ने रावण की याद में इस मीनार का निर्माण करवाया था. इसलिए, इसका नाम 'लंका मीनार' रखा गया.
इस मीनार के निर्माण की कहानी बेहद ही दिलचस्प है। इस मीनार को 1857 में, मथुरा प्रसाद निगम के एक व्यक्ति द्वारा बनवाया गया था। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि उन्होंने रावण की याद में इस मीनार का निर्माण किया था, जिस वजह से इसका नाम 'लंका मीनार' रखा गया।
मथुरा प्रसाद एक कलाकर के रूप में ज्यादातर रावण का किरदार करते थे। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि रावण की भूमिका ने उनपर इतनी बड़ी छाप छोड़ी कि उन्होंने रावण की याद में एक मीनार बनवा डाला। लंका मीनार को बनाने में 20 साल का समय लगा था। टॉवर की ऊंचाई 210 फीट है। इस मीनार को बनाने में उस समय लगभग 1 लाख 75 हजार का खर्चा आया था।
यहां कुंभकरण और मेघनाथ की बड़ी मूर्तियां भी स्थापित की गई है। कुंभकरण की मूर्ती 100 फीट ऊंची है, तो वहीं मेघनाथ की मूर्ती 65 फीट है। यहां आप भगवान शिव के साथ-साथ चित्रगुप्त की मूर्ति को भी देख सकते हैं। यहां 180 फीट लंबी नाग देवता की भी मूर्ती को स्थापित किया गया है।
लंका मीनार को लेकर एक अजीब मान्यता ये भी है कि यहां मीनार में भाई बहन एक साथ ऊपर नहीं जा सकते हैं। असल में, मीनार के ऊपर जाने के लिए 7 परिक्रमाओं को पूरा करना पड़ता है, जिसे भाई-बहन द्वारा पूरा नहीं किया जा सकता। यही कारण कि मीनार के ऊपर एक साथ भाई बहनों का जाना मना है। इसे मान्यता को आप भी कुछ कह लें, लेकिन स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा इसका पालन सालों से किया जा रहा है।

There is also a strange belief about the Lanka tower that brothers and sisters cannot go up together in the tower here. In fact, one has to complete 7 parikramas to go to the top of the tower, which cannot be completed by a brother-sister. This is the reason why brothers and sisters are not allowed to go on top of the tower together. You may also call it recognition, but it is being followed for years by the local people.

#ExploreUP: Kalpi is a small town among small towns. It is more like an overgrown village in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The highway that connects Jhansi to Kanpur runs through the town and right along the highway is a large Islamic tomb. While locals seem content to call it Chaurasi Gumbad, my research revealed that the ASI calls it Tomb of Lodi Badshah. This is intriguing given that the three 'badshahs' of the Lodi dynasty are buried either in Delhi or in Panipat. The occupant of the tomb at Kalpi is Jalal Khan, a brother of Ibrahim Lodi, the last ruler of the dynasty. This worthy had declared himself the ruler for a short while and was based in Kalpi. Was buried here after his death.

इस वीडियो में कालपी में स्थित फ्लाई ओवर ब्रिज को दिखाया गया है, इस ब्रिज का काम पिछले करीब 10 वर्ष से अधूरा पड़ा था। और इसकी बजह थी इसके रास्ते में आने वाले मंदिर और मस्जिद। जिसकी बजह से यहां ट्रैफिक जाम एक बहुत बड़ी समस्या बन हुआ था, यहां हमेशा की जाम लगा रहता था यहां से गुजरने वाले वाहनों को 5 किलो मीटर सफर तय करने में घंटो तक का समय लग जाता था । मगर जिला जालौन के जिलाधिकारी श्री मन्नान अख्तर साहब ने इस समस्या का समाधान निकाला और दोनों समुदाय के लोगों को समझा कर इस ब्रिज का काम पूरा कराया।

Chaurasi Gumbad (84 domes) is a square nine domed structure in a walled courtyard with two graves under central dome. The probable date assigned to this gumbad late 15th or early 16th century. This Islamic architecture is believed to be a tomb of one of the Lodi Sultan. It has 84 door arches. Built of blocks of rubble the whole building is divided into square spaces as in a chessboard, by eight lines of pillars that are linked by arches and topped by a flat roof.
