About this video:
Kalabagh is a town in the Mianwali district of the Punjab province in Pakistan. It is located on the Indus River and is known for the Kalabagh Dam project, which has been a source of controversy and debate in the country. The proposed dam would provide hydroelectric power and irrigation for the surrounding area, but has faced opposition from some political and environmental groups.
Kalabagh rail bridge is a proposed railway bridge that would cross the Indus River in Pakistan, connecting the town of Kalabagh in the Punjab province to the nearby town of Rasil in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The bridge is intended to improve transportation and connectivity between the two regions and would be a significant infrastructure project in Pakistan. However, like the Kalabagh Dam and Kalabagh-Rasil Bridge, the Kalabagh rail bridge has also faced opposition from certain political and social groups.
Amir Muhammad Khan was a Pakistani politician and member of the country's National Assembly. He was elected as a member of the National Assembly from the Constituency NA-71 (Mianwali-I) in the Pakistani general election, 2002. He was also a member of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and served as the Minister for Defence Production in the federal cabinet of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. He was among the prominent leaders of his area and was considered as one of the most influential politicians in Mianwali district. He passed away in 2008.
