Jinjiang City (晋江市), located in Quanzhou, Fujian Province (福建省泉州市), is a vibrant county-level city with a rich cultural and economic landscape. It's situated in the southeastern part of Fujian, along the south bank of the Jin River, and boasts a population of approximately 1.98 million as of 2010. Jinjiang is renowned for its significant industrial base, particularly in the clothing and footwear sectors, attracting many migrant workers from across China.
The city is also famous for its diaspora, with many Jinjiang natives having migrated to Southeast Asia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and beyond in the late 19th century, seeking better opportunities. This migration has led to a strong overseas community with deep ties back to Jinjiang, contributing to its development through donations and investments.
Culturally, Jinjiang is home to the unique Cao'an Temple, the only extant Manichean temple in China, reflecting the city's diverse religious heritage. The local dialect is a variant of the Quanzhou dialect of Hokkien, which is intelligible to speakers of other Hokkien dialects in Southeast Asia and among the Chinese diaspora.
Economically, Jinjiang stands out for its thriving private sector, consistently ranking as the county with the highest GDP in Fujian for over 15 years. The city's success is partly due to its focus on innovation and global expansion, with many local firms encouraged to engage in IPOs and seek listings on international stock exchanges.
Transportation in Jinjiang is well-developed, with the Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport and a high-speed railway station facilitating domestic and international travel. This infrastructure supports Jinjiang's economic growth and integration into global markets.
Jinjiang's story is one of traditional roots merging with modern development, showcasing a community that values its cultural heritage while embracing the opportunities of globalization.

湛江市簡稱湛，別稱港城，舊稱廣州灣（Kwangchouwan），是廣東省下轄的地級市，廣東省域副中心城市，北部灣及粵西城鎮群中心城市[5]，地處中國大陸最南端的雷州半島，廣東、廣西、海南三省（區）交匯處，東北鄰茂名市，西北接廣西壯族自治區玉林市、北海市，東瀕南海，南隔瓊州海峽與海南島相望，西臨北部灣，市民政府駐赤坎區躍進路67號。
湛江市的徐聞古港，是漢代海上絲路最早始發港。 湛江歷史代表文化為雷州文化，部分地區亦受高涼文化影響。
湛江在1899年曾為法國租借地而正式開埠通商。作為中國大陸通往東南亞、中東、歐洲、非洲和大洋洲海上航程最短的口岸，湛江是中國東南沿海重要的港口城市及全國性綜合交通樞紐，中國首批沿海開放城市，海軍南海艦隊司令部所在地。
經專家研究論證，今遂溪縣江洪鎮的鯉魚墩貝丘遺址是距今7000年至8000年前新石器時代的人類居住遺址，是雷州半島最早有人類居住的地方。春秋戰國時期，今湛江轄地為百越境。秦屬象郡。漢元鼎六年（前111年），南部徐聞、雷州、遂溪屬交趾部徐聞縣；北部吳川、廉江分屬交趾部高涼縣和合浦縣。以後，南部三縣先後屬交州、越州、合州、南合州、東合州。唐貞觀八年（634年），改東合州為雷州，統管雷州半島三縣，直至清代；北部吳川、廉江先後屬廣州、羅州、化州，至明清屬高州。
1899年11月，法國政府與清政府簽訂《中法互訂廣州灣租界條約》，將雷州府遂溪縣、高州府吳川縣兩縣所屬部分陸地、島嶼以及兩縣間的麻斜海灣（今湛江港）劃為法國租借地，統稱“廣州灣”，劃入法屬印度支那聯邦範圍，設廣州灣行政總公使署，受法屬印度支那總督管轄。 1943年2月，太平洋戰爭時期，被日本軍隊佔領。

Zhanjiang City, also known as the Port City and formerly known as Guangzhou Bay (Kwangchouwan), is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, a sub-central city of Guangdong Province, and a central city of the Beibu Bay and Yuexi town cluster[5]. It is located on the Leizhou Peninsula at the southernmost tip of mainland China, at the intersection of Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan provinces (regions). It is adjacent to Maoming City in the northeast, Yulin City and Beihai City in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the northwest, the South China Sea in the east, Hainan Island across the Qiongzhou Strait in the south, and Beibu Bay in the west. The municipal government is located at No. 67, Yuejin Road, Chikan District.
The Xuwen Ancient Port in Zhanjiang City was the earliest starting port of the Maritime Silk Road in the Han Dynasty. Zhanjiang's historical representative culture is the Leizhou culture, and some areas are also influenced by the Gaoliang culture.
Zhanjiang was a French concession in 1899 and was officially opened to trade. As the shortest sea voyage from mainland China to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Oceania, Zhanjiang is an important port city on the southeast coast of China and a national comprehensive transportation hub. It is one of the first coastal open cities in China and the headquarters of the Navy's South China Sea Fleet.
According to expert research and argumentation, the Liyudun Shell Mound Site in Jianghong Town, Suixi County today is a human settlement site from the Neolithic Age 7,000 to 8,000 years ago, and is the earliest place inhabited by humans on the Leizhou Peninsula. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the current Zhanjiang area was under the jurisdiction of Baiyue. It belonged to Xiangjun in the Qin Dynasty. In the sixth year of Yuanding of the Han Dynasty (111 BC), Xuwen, Leizhou and Suixi in the south belonged to Xuwen County of Jiaozhi; Wuchuan and Lianjiang in the north belonged to Gaoliang County and Hepu County of Jiaozhi respectively. Afterwards, the three counties in the south belonged to Jiaozhou, Yuezhou, Hezhou, Nanhezhou and Donghezhou successively. In the eighth year of Zhenguan of the Tang Dynasty (634), Donghezhou was changed to Leizhou, which governed the three counties of Leizhou Peninsula until the Qing Dynasty; Wuchuan and Lianjiang in the north belonged to Guangzhou, Luozhou and Huazhou successively, and belonged to Gaozhou until the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Wulin Village (梧林村) is a traditional village located in the southwest of Xintang Street, Jinjiang (晉江), Quanzhou City (泉州市), Fujian Province (福建省), China. Nestled between Shigu Mountain (石鼓山) and Wu’an Creek (武安溪), the village was established during the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty, covering an area of approximately 67 hectares (1000 mu). With a total floor area of 60,000 square meters, it has a resident population of about 2,100 and serves as the ancestral home to over 10,000 overseas Chinese. It is recognized as the most beautiful village in Jinjiang City and a major ancestral home for overseas Chinese from southern Fujian.
Wulin Traditional Village boasts a rich collection of southern Fujian official-style large houses, Gothic and Romanesque buildings, and former residences of notable figures that blend Chinese and Western architectural styles. These include 11 western-style houses, 14 Fanzailou (“foreigners’ houses”), and 36 traditional southern-Fujian-style buildings, showcasing the essence of traditional Chinese culture and the inclusive, vibrant culture of southern Fujian as a major ancestral home of overseas Chinese. In 2014, the Wulin Overseas Chinese Architectural Complex was named the “Jinjiang Exhibition Site of Southern Fujian Cultural and Ecological Protection Zone” by the Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Leading Group. Further recognitions include its inclusion in the 4th group of the Traditional Chinese Villages List in 2016, designation as a key provincial-level project in 2017, and in November 2020, the Wulin Modern Architectural Complex was added to the 10th group of cultural heritage sites protected at the provincial level by the Fujian People’s Government.
On December 27, 2019, the Jinjiang Wulin Qingpu Cultural Tourism Operation & Management Co., Ltd. was established to promote and operate Wulin Traditional Village. The company aims to transform the village into a new icon of the cultural tourism industry by leveraging its natural and humanistic landscapes. Through comprehensive arrangements, the company focuses on three major themes: “devotion to the nation”, “fascinating southern Fujian”, and “memories of the South Oceans”, aiming to build Wulin into a center for experiencing southern Fujian and overseas Chinese culture. The village is set to become a major tourist destination offering immersive experiences in the cultures of southern Fujian and the South Oceans, breathing new life into the century-old village.

China Vacation Classic 15 Days Shaolin Temple
China is famous for its Shaolin Kungfu. This tour takes to its origin-Shaolin Temple in Henan Province where can watch the exciting Kungfu performance and then relax on the beach in Sanya. This tour combines the two highlights with other classic tourism cities like Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai. It takes you to all the majoy attractions in China.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing. Meet and transfer back to Beijing: Best Western Royal Phoenix Hotel or similar. The evening is free at leisure.
Day 2 Beijing
After breakfast at the hotel, depart the hotel for a full day excursion to the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Visit Chang Tomb, the biggest and best preserved among all the 13 Ming Tombs. Enjoy a short walk along the Sacred Way with 36 carved stone statues lined up on both sides of the walkway. After lunch at local restaurant, continue to Great Wall at Jinshanling Section, which is so far the most impressive and least-touristed section. Return to Hotel, enjoy a free evening. (B, L)
Day 3 Beijing
Depart the hotel for a full day tour to visit the Temple of Heaven where you can see many local people doing morning exercises as well as a magnificent historical Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, a circular blue building built without nails and cement about 500 years ago. Then proceed to the world's largest city square in the world-Tian'anmen Square, the symbol for China. Then walk north to visit the Forbidden City, a huge complex built in 1420 serving as a residence for 24 emperors from Ming and Qing Dynasties. Enjoy a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the beautiful imperial garden-Summer Palace in the western suburb of Beijing. On the way back to the city, drive by the Olympic Green to get a photo opportunity of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. The evening is free at leisure. (B, L)
Day 4 Beijing/Zhengzhou
In the morning, transfer to the train station for an train to Zhengzhou. Upon arrival in Zhengzhou, meet and transfer to Shaolin International Hotel 3* or similar. Stay overnight at the hotel. (B, L)
Day 5 Shaolin/Luoyang
Visit Shaolin Temple, the home of Marshal Arts in China, including a Kongfu Show. Transfer to Luoyang by private car. Upon arrival in Luoyang, check in at Luoyang Friendship Guesthouse 4* or similar. Enjoy a free evening.(B, L)
Day 6 Luoyang/Xi'an
In the morning, visit the peony flower exposition. This is the season for the beautiful peony flowers to bloom which Luoyang is famous for. After lunch, visit Longmen Grottoes, one of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art. Housing tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and his disciples, they are located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of present day Luòyáng in Hénán province. Afterwards, transfer to the train station for an express train to Xi'an. Upon arrival in Xi'an, meet and transfer to Shang-ri La Golden Flower Hotel 5* or similar. The evening is free at leisure. Day 7 Xi'an
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day excursion of Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Terra-cotta Museum where over 8,000 figures of an underground army were built about 2000 years ago. This eighth wonder of the world was accidentally found by 2 farmers when digging a well in 1976. Return to the city and enjoy Tang Dynasty Cultural Show and Dinner. (B, L,D)
Day 8 Xi'an/Sanya
In the morning, visit the ancient city-the best preserved city wall in China. Take a walk in the Muslim Quarter and visit the Grand Mosque. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Sanya. Upon arrival in Sanya, transfer to Resort Intime Hotel 5* or similar. (B, L)
Day 9-11 Sanya
Enjoy yourself in Sanya with daily breakfast included.(B)
Day 12 Sanya/Shanghai
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, meet and transfer to Shanghai Regal International East Asia Hotel 5* or similar. The evening is free. (B, L)
Day 13 Shanghai
Enjoy a full day tour to Yu Garden and the old town, Jade Buddha Temple and Shanghai Museum with audio explanation. Enjoy a walk at Xintiandi, a fashionable boutique shopping area in Shanghai. Return to the hotel. An optional acrobatic show is available tonight. (B, L)
Day 14 Shanghai
Enjoy an excursion to an ancient water town-Zhujiajiao, is a water village on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was formed about 1,700 years ago. Archaeological findings dating back 5,000 years have also been found. 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and thousands of ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today. Many centuries-old stone buildings are home to residents today, as they were for many dynasties in the past. After lunch, enjoy a free afternoon in Shanghai. (B, L)
Day 15 Departure
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. End of service. (B)
