Visiting Mexico City is amazing but make sure to travel around Mexico to explore smaller towns too! In this video I will show you how to take a great day trip from Mexico City to visit towns in the state of Hidalgo including Pachuca, Real del Monte, Huasca de Ocampo, and the Basaltic Prisms of Santa Maria Regla. We also stopped at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe to see the relic of Guadalupe. You can do these experiences by yourself but to get the most out of your trip book a local tour guide. NOMBRE DE DIOS, MEXICO - In this Mexico travel video, we are in Durango, in north-western Mexico, which is full of relatively unknown locations. We're visiting one in this video - could this be the most beautiful place in Mexico in 2021?
Nombre de Dios is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town), one of the many towns in Mexico part of the Pueblo Mágico initiative, designed to celebrate Mexican history and culture. It's home to Doña Aleja, a famous gordita restaurant in operation since 1957. It's quite possibly one of the best examples of Mexican food you could find!
We also head to El Saltito, a waterfall and lake surrounded by insane scenery, trees and sheer rockfaces!
This video is all about how travel requires a certain degree of childhood innocence in order to explore without fear or boundaries! I hope you like it!
If you're thinking about moving to Mexico or becoming one of the increasing number of expats in Mexico, your choices aren't limited to popular areas like Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. Durango is an area that, granted, you'll need to be able to speak Spanish in, but the city and state has so much to offer, just as much as those other places!

Weekend trip to Real del Monte & Pachuca
Real del Monte, or officially Mineral de Monte, is a small mining town with big history. It has produced 6% off all world's silver in the last 500 years!
We had a chance to visit the place over the weekend by taking a bus from Mexico City.
Thanks to the Cornish miners who restarted the mining in the 19th century, the colorful town still holds many features of Cornish influence, like the local paste, architecture and multiple descendants of the miners.
For anyone living close to Pachuca, Real de Monte is a great place to spend the weekend and enjoy the local, unique culture.

I've been to countless Pueblos Magicos over the years but never really been confronted with Mexico's version of cheap and tacky family tourism, until now!
Plastic flamingoes, animals in cages, overpriced everything, 4 hour waits for attractions, and a town which really wasn't magic at all. Why is Orizaba a Magic Town? I much preferred CORDOBA!
I went on a little weekend trip from Mexico City (CDMX) and was staying in Cordoba for the weekend. I was hoping to find somewhere with some awesome Mexican food (everything was closed) and to go up on a Teleferico (good luck), but was confronted by crocodiles and cheap and tacky tourism not indicative of other magic towns.
In summary, touristic places are not my cup of tea. Give me a gritty city with no tourism or an abandoned building- that's my idea of travel. But saying that, if it's your first Mexico trip or you are planning to move to Mexico and have never been before, Orizaba does offer you a good introduction to Pueblos Magicos.

🇲🇽 CÓRDOBA, VERACRUZ - Hola amigos and welcome to the first video from my Mexico Travel 2022 series! We're in Córdoba and Orizaba, Veracruz for the next 2 videos, exploring a state which has eluded me for years on my previous Mexico trips! Why does no one come here?
Prepare for amazing Mexican seafood with the awesome Arroz a la Tumbada, a great example of Mexican food (comida Mexicana, or comida Veracruzana!), an insane ruined hacienda in Toxpan, formerly a sugar mill, and a walk around a Mexican city which has a lot to offer!
If you're looking for places to visit or things to do in Mexico, Córdoba is a great option as a lesser-known city with no expats or foreigners! (at least I didn't see any!). Alternatively, if you are one of those people interested in moving to Mexico, Córdoba might be a possibility!
