Welcome to our video on the top things to do in Zacatecas, Mexico, a city known for its rich colonial history, beautiful architecture, and vibrant culture. Situated in central Mexico, Zacatecas is a UNESCO World Heritage site with plenty to explore. Here are some of the best places to visit and activities to enjoy in Zacatecas.
Begin your journey in the heart of the city at the Zacatecas Cathedral, one of the most stunning examples of Mexican Baroque architecture. Built in the 18th century, the cathedral is adorned with intricate stone carvings and towering spires. Step inside to admire the beautiful altarpieces and stained glass windows. It’s an iconic landmark and a great starting point for exploring the city.
Next, take a ride on the Teleférico de Zacatecas, a cable car that offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding hills. The ride connects the historic center to Cerro de la Bufa, a hilltop with panoramic views and historical significance. Once at the top, you can visit the Museo Toma de Zacatecas, which commemorates the 1914 Battle of Zacatecas during the Mexican Revolution.
For history enthusiasts, a visit to the Mina El Edén is a must. This former silver mine, which played a crucial role in Zacatecas' wealth during the colonial era, has been transformed into a fascinating museum. Take a guided tour through the tunnels to learn about the mining process and the history of Zacatecas' silver boom. There’s even a nightclub deep inside the mine, offering a unique nightlife experience.

NOMBRE DE DIOS, MEXICO - In this Mexico travel video, we are in Durango, in north-western Mexico, which is full of relatively unknown locations. We're visiting one in this video - could this be the most beautiful place in Mexico in 2021?
Nombre de Dios is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town), one of the many towns in Mexico part of the Pueblo Mágico initiative, designed to celebrate Mexican history and culture. It's home to Doña Aleja, a famous gordita restaurant in operation since 1957. It's quite possibly one of the best examples of Mexican food you could find!
We also head to El Saltito, a waterfall and lake surrounded by insane scenery, trees and sheer rockfaces!
This video is all about how travel requires a certain degree of childhood innocence in order to explore without fear or boundaries! I hope you like it!
If you're thinking about moving to Mexico or becoming one of the increasing number of expats in Mexico, your choices aren't limited to popular areas like Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. 🇲🇽 JEREZ DE GARCÍA SALINAS, ZACATECAS, MEXICO - Welcome back to Zacatecas for another 2020 Mexico Travel video! We're back in the legendary Jerez de García Salinas! After many requests, I decided to revisit this awesome Pueblo Magico after first visiting here in May 2019. It's also Día de Muertos weekend in Mexico!
Jerez de García Salinas is a tiny pueblito about an hour's drive from Zacatecas, a state in north-central Mexico. As with all pueblos magicos, it's a special place full of colourful buildings, music, history and amazing food.
In this video I give you more reasons to add a place like Jerez de García Salinas to your plans for your Mexico trip. If you're planning on moving to Mexico, you'll have even fewer excuses to add it to your Mexico itinerary!
This video is also my FOUR YEAR TRAVEL ANNIVERSARY video, hence the feature-length. Yes, I've been travelling and working online for FOUR YEARS! In this video, we sample some brand new comida Mexicana (Mexican food) such as birria, as well as some burritos and amazing chocolate nieves at a place recommended by a subscriber. JEREZ de GARCÍA SALINAS, ZACATECAS, MEXICO - Hola amigos and welcome back to Mexico! This is PART 4 of my 4 part series in the state of Zacatecas, Central Mexico. In this video we head to the stunning magic town of Jerez for a couple of hours, for ice cream and Tamborazo!
I've been in Mexico on and off since March 2018, and this is my final video before I head to other countries until later this year (I WILL BE BACK IN MEXICO approx November 2019!). As a result, we talk about how it feels going from feeling like a foreigner in a country to feeling fully welcomed and comfortable anywhere in Mexico.
Zacatecas is famous for Tamborazo, an important style of Mexican music (a smaller form or Banda). If you're planning a trip to Mexico in 2019, please consider Zacatecas as there are so many things to do including Cerro de la Bufa, Mina el Eden and more as featured in the previous 3 videos!

Jerez es uno de los Pueblos Mágicos de Zacatecas.
En videos anteriores te mostré el centro de Zacatecas, una de las ciudades más bellas de nuestro país y declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.
También la conocimos de noche y quedamos encantados con sus luces y vida nocturna donde pudimos cantar y beber mezcal disfrutando de las callejoneadas.
Así que después de pasar unos buenos días en la capital del estado nos vamos de manera rápida a conocer otros puntos de Zacatecas y elegimos el Pueblo Mágico de Jerez.
Jerez se encuentra al suroeste de Zacatecas a menos de 1 hora de la capital estado, en dirección a Malpaso y a 40 minutos de la Zona Arqueológica de la Quemada, ambos sitios se suelen visitar el mismo día aunque yo te la mostrare en otro video.
Jerez es uno de los 6 Pueblos Mágicos del estado, solía ser el más cercano a Zacatecas capital hasta que recientemente fue nombrado Guadalupe como el sexto pueblo mágico, mientras que Jerez obtuvo este nombramiento en el 2007.

After trying the famous la palma burritos in Jerez De Garcia Salinas we walked back into town and came across burritos don zoilo. We thought we'd give it a chance because the burritos in this town are legendary they are so incredibly good especially the birria specials.
We were met by lovely Armando who was great and i can say burritos don zoilo are the best in Jerez for me the flavours are unbelievable believe me. He looked after us and we ate quite a few things off the HUGE menu and he even gave us some capirotada which we really appreciated.
If your in the area make sure you come here and check it out, the state of Zacatecas has some seriously good food 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
