Mazunte es un pequeño pueblo sobre la costa del Pacífico en Oaxaca, México. Está localizado a 22 km del suroeste de San Pedro Pochutla sobre la carretera costera 200, a unos 10 km al este de Puerto Ángel y sólo a 1 km de San Agustinillo y a 264 km al sur de la capital de Oaxaca.

My journey to the western part of Oaxaca. It began in Puerto Escondido and then I went north to Pinotepa to participate in the Mardi Gras festivities. A restaurant on the beach called Los Cronos was where one could have grilled fish delivered right off the boat. And the hotel whose German owner was kind of a Mr. Fawlty kind of guy. Puerto is two towns. The main town and then the beach town where pretty much everyone stays as the town town is just a typical Mexican town. People talk about the big waves and the surfing in Puerto Escondido but, it's a beach break and very short and dangerous as it dumps you right into the sand. The big waves come, I believe, in the winter months.

La Merced del Potrero, Oaxaca; una comunidad llena de contrastes y hermosos paisajes que nosotros te seguimos mostrando en cada uno de nuestros vídeos.
Paisajes espectaculares e imágenes inéditas que van desde cosas diminutas y aparentemente insignificantes, como este caracol gigante que encontramos por pura casualidad en uno de nuestros paseos por el campo, entre los verdes bosques cubiertos de nubes que atrapan nuestra atención.
En el vasto territorio de nuestra comunidad, obviamente, también podemos hallar una amplia gama de flores silvestres, muchas de ellas aún sin catalogar.
Lo mismo sucede con los hongos, los cuales, ya sean comestibles o no... siempre tienen algo con qué impresionarnos, como es el caso de los hongos estrella de tierra.
Encontramos también un buen número de plantas ornamentales, entre las cuales destacan las llamadas raíz de rompe piedra o simplemente raíz de piedra, las cuales, por cierto, son más valoradas fuera que dentro de la comunidad.
Pero aún tenemos mucho que mostrar, así que dejamos de lado estas cosas y pasamos a los paisajes naturales que hallamos en las márgenes de los ríos y arroyos, entre los cuales podemos mencionar el manantial conocido como La Magdalena o la Cascada el Peligro del Río Mamey.
Para finalizar, haremos mención de la imponente Peña del Lobo, el cual, con sus más de 650 metros de altura es el accidente geográfico y rasgo más distintivo de La Merced del Potrero.

Добираться до этого пляжа долго. Наш путь занял примерно 45 мин от трассы до пляжа. Дорога очень плохая, местами размытая. Но пляж того стоит! Вся береговая линия застроена ресторанчиками. Мы остановились в одном из них. В нем были кабаньяс три номера. Мы остались на одну ночь. Условия не отельные)). Туалет находится во дворе. Постельное белье, видимо, стирается редко)), если вообще стирается. Есть комары и мошки)). Они неплохо отобедали нашей кровью)). Мы потом неделю чесались.)) Но пляж и океан - замечательны и прекрасны! И мы нисколько не жалеем, что не было условий. Спать на берегу под шум волн - это романтика! А ещё ночью была гроза! Красиво! И прекрасный рассвет и восход солнца, который можно наблюдать на этом пляже. Там мы видели морских скатов, они приплыли парой и плавали вдоль берега. Ещё по пляжу ходят стаи бродячих собак. Пляж и место очень понравились и произвели неизгладимое впечатление!❤️

It takes a long time to get to this beach. Our journey took about 45 minutes from the road to the beach. The road is very bad, blurred in places. But the beach is worth it! The entire coastline is built up with restaurants. We stopped at one of them. It had three cabanas rooms. We stayed one night. Conditions are not hotel)). The toilet is in the yard. Bed linen, apparently, is rarely washed)), if at all. There are mosquitoes and midges)). They dined well with our blood)). Then we itched for a week.)) But the beach and the ocean are wonderful and beautiful! And we do not regret at all that there were no conditions. Sleeping on the shore to the sound of the waves is romance! And there was a thunderstorm at night! Beautiful! And the beautiful sunrise and sunrise that can be seen on this beach. There we saw stingrays, they sailed in a pair and swam along the coast. There are also flocks of stray dogs walking along the beach. I liked the beach and the place very much and made an indelible impression! ❤️
