Top 10 PRETTIEST Towns in BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
What are the 10 prettiest towns in the county of Buckinghamshire? To determine this, I visited them all. Here's what I found out.
As a disclaimer, this list is neither a social commentary, nor a guide on which are the nicest towns to live, but purely a judgement on the aesthetics of each respective town centre.
All footage is my own, and originates from my flagship channel, 4K Explorer, which you can check out here: --

10 Most Hated Towns in England
What are the most hated towns in England? No matter how good a country is, every part of it can’t be loved equally. In fact, some parts of it are bound to be hated. Even the most fanatic lover of a country will love some parts of it less than others. I have heard some people complaining about some towns in England, the home of the Queen that some people are dying to live and work in. That prompts research into the 10 most hated towns in England.
This ranking is based mainly on the comments and complaints of residents of England and visitors to those towns. But it’s not limited to that since some complaints can be completely baseless. We dig deeper in researching these 10 most hated towns in England.
10. Slough
Let’s begin with Slough, a town in Berkshire, within the historic county of Buckinghamshire. This town is 20 miles west of central London and 19 miles northeast of Reading. You will find the town in the Thames Valley and within the London metropolis around the area at the intersection of the M4.
In spite of its location, Slough according to those visitors, is a town whose streets are littered with empty takeaway and full of packets or empty beer cans. This assertion hasn’t been contradicted by even just one resident. The quality of food in the town’s restaurants appears, kind of, made for losers who’re just out to eat as much unhealthy food as they can get away with.
9. Scunthorpe
It’s not desirable to find Scunthorpe among the most hated towns in England. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to take it out of our list because the facts obviously place it there. This industrial town in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire should normally be the pride of Lincolnshire as its main administrative center. But the town with an estimated population of 82,334 in 2016 had many things going against it.
Residents of the UK’s largest steel processing center, also known as the Industrial Garden Town, are frustrated by a lack of the liveliness and diversity in the town only known for work. However, the loudest grouse that lists Scunthorpe alongside the most hated towns in England is the indiscriminate censorship and blocking of websites for spurious reasons.

12 Most Haunted Places in Buckinghamshire
Would you want to know the 12 most haunted place in Buckinghamshire?
Britain has been named the most haunted country in the world. Even if that can be contested, there’s no gainsaying the fact that it has a lot of haunted places with tales of ghosts and spirits. However, some cities and towns have less of such places. We’ve produced a two-part video about the most haunted places in the UK. We have two other videos that focus on each city replete with such stories. Today, we want to focus on the 12 most haunted places in Buckinghamshire. We understand these places in Buckinghamshire aren’t among the most popular in the UK. Thus, as we discuss each of them, we’ll describe their location before explaining their features as haunted towns or villages.
1. Chenies Manor House, Chenies
Chenies Manor House is in the parish of Chenies in Buckinghamshire. It’s a Tudor Grade I listed building which was once known as Chenies Palace, though it was neither a royal seat nor the seat of a bishop. Since the 12th century, the manor house was held by the Cheney family and has successively passed by marriage to other families. The House which has 22 chimneys was visited by both King Henry VIII along with some of his wives and Queen Elizabeth I. It’s thought to be haunted by the ghost of one of the hundreds of soldiers killed in the area during the English Civil War. Visitors have been reporting catching a glimpse of the spirit nursing his wounds tragically or hearing him limping up and down the home's staircase.
2. Finnamore Wood, Marlow
We want to talk about a location in Marlow. In this town which is also a civil parish in Buckinghamshire, located on the River Thames, 6 kilometres south-southwest of High Wycombe, 8 kilometres west-northwest of Maidenhead, and 53 kilometres west of central London, there’s a haunted place called Finnamore Wood. It’s in one of the most rural areas of the town on the site of the former Evacuation Camp. It used to be known as Finnamore Wood Holiday & Evacuation Camp and housed evacuees from Beal Modern Girls' School and others displaced during the Second World War. In 1948, the wood housed members of the American Canoe team training at the Marlow Rowing Club for their Olympic Rowers.
3. Fulmer
Fulmer is a village and civil parish near the town of Gerrards Cross. It has along its northern border a narrow buffer from the town while it is heavily wooded, adjoining neighbouring villages of Wexham and Iver Heath. The most haunted place here is Fulmer Place, a Grade II listed mansion which was formerly the residence of Lord John Hay.

Iver Heath | Buckinghamshire | England
#iverheath #Buckinghamshire
Recorded on 19-Feb-2021 (just few minutes before uploaded)
Iver is a large civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England. In addition to the central clustered village, the parish includes the residential neighbourhoods of Iver Heath and Richings Park.
In the Domesday Book of 1086 the whole area was recorded as Evreham or homestead by the brow of a hill and it was in the possession of a man called Robert Doiley.
In 1351 the area was granted a Royal charter to hold a weekly market. This charter was confirmed 110 years later in 1461.
Iver
Iver village on the Uxbridge to Langley road has a pre-Domesday foundation and Neolithic pottery fragments and other artefacts have been discovered. The village church has shards of a Saxon window, and elements dating from the 15th century, 16th century and 17th century can be seen. The village has numerous houses from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Iver Heath is the location of Heatherden Hall, a Victorian estate with spectacular grounds. It was purchased by Lt. Col. Grant Morden, a Canadian financier, who transformed the mansion by adding a huge ballroom and Turkish bath. During the 1930s it became a retreat and private meeting place for politicians and diplomats. The agreement to form the Irish Free State was signed at Heatherden Hall. The Church of St Margaret was built in 1862. Iver Heath itself is centred on a triangle of roads. The village post office is on the Slough Road to the south, while a parade of shops used to be found along Church Road to the north. Slough Road and Church Road are connected by Bangors Road North to the east.
