This episode is part one of two on an adventure in Ijevan and Dilijan in Armenia. Living the village life, with three of my friends.
I also talk about how to go from Yerevan to Dilijan using public transport and how much everything costs.
Ijevan is a town and urban municipal community in Armenia serving as the administrative center of the Tavush Province. It is located at the center of the region, at the foot of Ijevan ridge of Gugark Mountains, on the shores of Aghstev River.
In part two, we go to Dilijan for a walk around town and some delicious food and funny moments.

On our second day of this weekend trip, we had some Armenian coffee at Tatik's house, then went to Dilijan for lunch and tolma.
Dilijan is a town in northern Armenia. It's known for spa resorts and traditional craft workshops. The town is surrounded by the forests of Dilijan National Park. The Geological Museum and Art Gallery displays archaeological finds and international art. North of town, Haghartsin Monastery is a complex of stone churches. East, Goshavank Monastery is known for its intricate khachkars, or carved stones.

Exploring the beauty of Haghartsin Monastery in the Tavush Province of Armenia | 4K resolution
“The playing eagle” - this is what the name Haghartsin means. According to the legend, this religious complex, located near the town of Dilijan in Tavush province, was built on a spot where an eagle used to soar from day to night, and that is why the complex got its name.
The construction of the monastery took place between the 10th and 13th centuries, mostly under the patronage of the most renowned Armenian royal dynasty - the Bagratouni. The architects that supervised the construction of the Haghartsin monastery are Khachatour of Taron - an Armenian poet, musician, and religious figure who has authored a large number of sharakans (Armenian religious songs), and later - Minas the Architect.
As a result, they created a cultural and religious treasure that withstood many environmental and historical challenges.
