Boston Drive: Holliston Country Drive
On a Saturday in April, I take a short country drive through the town of Holliston, Massachusetts. The town is located about 30 miles west of Boston and is the quintessential New England small town. It's also the hometown of country music singer Jo Dee Messina among other notable people. The bright yellow bushes you see along the way are forsythia. When they're in bloom, you know it's April around here.

Monument Mountain, Massachusetts - Roulette Travel Hike Review
Monument Mountain is located near Great Barrington Massachusetts, and offers stunning 360 views around the surrounding valley areas and distant mountains.
With a moderately strenuous 3 mile hike gaining about 700 feet, you'll find yourself atop Squaw Peak - a quartzite ridge at 1,600 feet above sea level. If you're giving it a go in the winter - make sure to bring spikes, as many sections were quite icy.

From Wikipedia:
Ashland is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. It is part of the MetroWest region. The population was 18,832 at the 2020 United States Census.
Two major routes, 135 and 126, pass through Ashland. Route 135 is dominated by older residential development of varying density and is also part of the route for the Boston Marathon, which began in Ashland on Pleasant Street until the start was moved to Hopkinton's Main Street in 1924. Route 126 has developed rapidly since the 1980s, as farms have given way to shopping centers and condominiums. A part of the draw of Ashland, and one that has been publicized in recent years, is its ideal location about halfway between the cities of Boston and Worcester. Travel is easy, with its own stop on the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line and nearby access to both I-90 and I-495. Ashland is considered part of MetroWest, which also consists of the towns of Framingham, Holliston, and Hopkinton.
Even though Ashland has left its humble roots as a rural area, it still retains the look and feel of a typical residential Boston-area New England town. Traditions like Ashland Day and small-town favorites like the ice cream shop Murphy's and breakfast joint Sunnyside Cafe maintain the feeling of a close-knit community. Ashland's longstanding rival for the Thanksgiving Day football game is Hopkinton, a rivalry with roots in the formation of the town and the resulting 1846 dispute concerning Ashland's fire engine Megunko 1.

Now the big question, why do we live in an RV?
We ran away from home. Jason and I have always have dreams of traveling, we've always said we wanted to show our kids' the world and teach them that there is more to life than just normal. We have always wanted to teach them about service to others and expand their mind to how others live.
After years of climbing the corporate ladder and stuck on the hamster wheel. We got tired of working just to pay bills. We wanted to live. So we decided to reset our life.
We sold our house and most of our belongings and bought an RV. We now travel full time and document our life. We are doing service projects along the way while building our non-profit. We are focusing on our family and strengthening those bonds. We work hard, serve hard and play hard because we believe it is the key to creating memories and deepening connections. We are so excited for this journey. We are excited to make a difference wherever we can and to document this crazy life so we don't forget.
Alright so, what’s our story?
I'll (Lis 🙋🏻) will go first...
I first started this channel as Mommin It Up, a Mommy Channel. After my 3rd baby, my anxiety and PPD got so bad, all I wanted was to be removed from the earth so Jason could find a better wife and so our 6 kids would have a better mom. Yeah, it was as scary as it sounds. Depression isn't something to be messed with. I was drowning in impossible expectations that I put on myself and felt so alone. I truly thought that I was the only mom in the world who was behind on cleaning, hadn’t showered in days and lost her cool with her kids and husband. I felt like the biggest failure in life. Social media was the only thing I had for comparison because no one really talked about how hard being a mom was back then. -I'm old 😩
It all changed one day when I reached out to a group of mom friends and gave way to the verbal vomit that was choking me. I told them how I was a screw up and failing miserably and I asked them how they all had it together. Their response was powerful and has changed my view on life and motherhood.
“Me too.”
“I don’t have it all together.”
“That’s crazy because I look at you and think the same thing, how does she do it all?”
“I suffer from depression too.”
“This is the first time I’ve showered all week.”
EMPATHY!
I was met with empathy. I was told that I wasn’t alone. I was told I was normal and I wasn’t crazy! It was so freeing.
So I started my videos as a way to rebel against the social media perfection that was all I saw. Social media is a big lie and everyone feels like they need to put their best foot forward. It’s created a false image of reality. So, I started this channel to fight against that. I wanted to be the ANTI -Insstamom. Sure I like to look pretty, but my worth isn't tied up in how we look or how clean our house is.
I have opinions and experience that I share to help others feel like they aren’t alone. I may offer some tips that I have found to make life easier but I’m not perfect. And I am still figuring out who I am. Youtube for me is a way to be creative while speaking my truth and sharing my story.
It has since evolved from there. Jason has joined me and now our family is traveling full time in an RV. Which is a whole story in itself.
Ok, so Jason...
He has an Instagram and a Facebook Page called Dads Don't babysit. After people commenting about how involved he was in our children's lives and the differences in how women and men are treated surrounding raising kids, he decided to say something. He has created funny and witty memes and tweets and now that we have combined forces, he is sharing more on this channel.
We are so happy you are here and excited to share our adventures with you. Let us know if we can do anything to help!

Horn Pond | Horn Pond Mountain , Massachusetts
Horn Pond Mountain.
Horn Pond is one of my favorite places to run whenever I am in town visiting family. While most people stick to the paved loop around the water, I like to explore the wooded trails and head up to the top of Horn Pond Mountain. Every time I am up there I would find more and more odd things. I quickly fell down the rabbit hole looking into the history of Horn Pond and discovered a hidden history from Native Americans, ice making, a sunken island and even a skiing operation.
