Mitrovica City - Kosova - Drone 4K UHD
#dji #mitrovica #kosovo
@DJI @DJICreator
There is archaeological evidence that proves the region of Mitrovica has been inhabited since the Neolithic era. Two settlements were discovered in 1955 in the industrial park near the FAFOS factory (phosphates productions), from which the archaeological site got the name. In Fafos, settlements revealed different objects of everyday use, but the most characteristic were cult objects (small anthropomorphic figures) of the Vinča culture.

Tiranë 🇦🇱 - 🇽🇰 Prishtinë | Rruga e Kombit SH10 - Timelapse 4K
The A1, also commonly Rruga e Kombit or SH10, is the longest and only toll motorway in Albania, stretching 114 kilometres (71 mi) in the counties of Lezhë and Kukës. It consists for the most part of two traffic lanes and an emergency lane in each driving direction separated by a central reservation.
The motorway constitutes part of a larger corridor connecting the Albanian Adriatic Sea Coast in the southeast across the Albanian Alps with the Republic of Kosovo in the northeast. The significance of the motorway is reflected through its positive economic and cultural impact on the towns and cities within both countries it connects as well as its importance to tourism in Albania.
The highway is also commonly known as Autostrada Shqipëri-Kosovë or Autostrada Durrës-Kukës and starts near Lezhë, Albania, passes through Kukës, enters Kosovo as R7, and ends in Prishtina near Đurđica, Kosovo. As part of the South-East European Route 7, the highway will connect the Adriatic Sea ports of Durrës and Shëngjin in Albania via Pristina, with the E75/Corridor X near Niš, Serbia. The project was a joint venture by the American-Turkish consortium Bechtel-ENKA, Austrian, Slovenian, and Albanian companies. It is expected to be finalized through a PPP road concession and maintenance project operated by Albanian Highway Concession shpk.
Dubbed the “Rruga e Kombit”, the project links Albanians in Kosovo and Albania, helping to boost cultural and economic ties. The project is Albania's largest in decades, costing over one billion euros. It includes a six kilometer tunnel in Albania, making travel and trade easier for the hundreds of thousands of people vacationing in Albania during summer holidays and for business.

Balkans Road Trip
Here are some videos I shot with a handheld camera I picked up to commemorate a trip I took through Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovnia. Some friends of mine came to me one day and said they were filling up some gas cans and taking a road trip and asked if I wanted to go along. Of course, the answer was yes. We left early in the morning and drove south toward Albania. The border crossing was no big deal as the Albanians are generally decent people and seem to like Americans which helps. You can read more about the trip and see photos at my site:

Laguarda.Low's Recent Visit to International Residence Prishtina
Watch video of Laguarda.Low principals Pablo Laguarda FAIA and Ed Jenkins AIA’s recent visit to International Residence Prishtina. Designed by Laguarda.Low, the multi-family residential project recently broke ground in Prishtina, Kosovo.
International Residence is a dynamic collection of eight multi-family residential buildings set amidst the rolling hills to the southeast of Prishtina’s center. The nine-story buildings are positioned around the site’s undulating perimeter to form a centrally landscaped communal courtyard. Modern residential units with understated luxury rotate and stack within each block to assure at least two exposures for view and natural light.
This contemporary, modern design elevates one’s living experience, offering a dynamic atmosphere that reflects today’s international lifestyle.
