Let's not forget the important part of picking your Alabama football team, either the Crimson Tide of the University of Alabama or the Auburn Tigers.

Camera Sony Alpha Series: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
Western Dynamics 4 TB external hard drive. This let's you save your pictures and videos from your SD cards while you travel without having to use a computer.
Manfrotto Tripods: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.
Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Pharmacist David Shand's love of the Cariboo started with summer vacations visiting from Victoria and staying in a little cabin on the lake. For the last four years, he's called Skulow Lake, near Williams Lake, his home.
I love this region because you have nature at your fingertips.
Why choose the Cariboo? David's answer is easy:
In the Cariboo, there's a very big sense of community, and everybody has this intrinsic sense of needing to take care of each other. You notice it with the first nations, you notice it in the population here...here you know that people will always take care of you...it's a neat sense of community.
Having moved here to raise a family, getting out into nature is a priority when it comes to spending time with his kids, I can't wait to get outside with them and get them running around...and just share everything we have here with them.
And nature isn't hard to find when you live lakeside...
I can't believe how easy and how close it is and how I can walk out my door and it's quiet and serene, and I'm surrounded by absolute beauty.
In moving to the Cariboo with his family, David is pretty sure that he's found the secret to success: Happiness and opportunity...they sort of go hand in hand and it's hard to measure either. But one thing about the Cariboo is they've opportunities to do so many different things. To me, that's success.

Working in the cattle industry is tenuous, as its success can be affected by many outside factors, but the health and welfare of their animals always comes first and foremost.
Everything in the cattle industry depends on something else...the economy, geo-politics, the stock markets...Everything can affect the cattle industry including fires, floods.
It is a busy, tough lifestyle, but when you love what you do, you appreciate the life that you lead. As a steward of the land, Cordy hopes to continue in a sustainable industry on land in the Chilcotin that remains as pure as it can.
If you love what you're doing and love the lifestyle that you live, you are thinking about that when things are...going your way, you're like 'man I really love this life.'
