Bundle the family into the car and head out on a road trip along one of the two great scenic drives the area has to offer. Stage Road Scenic Drive winds through picturesque hobby farms, stands of eucalyptus, and the historic Mount Hope Cemetery and 17-mile-long Tunitas Creek-Purissima Creek Scenic Drive meanders through old-growth redwood forests. This is just a sample of the things to do in Half Moon Bay for visitors worldwide.

I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towsn of Seaside, Oregon, and its easily one of my favorite places in the whole world and is home to some of the most dramatic and beautiful coasts on earth from the giant sand dunes to the offshore rock stacks - it has it all. Since I grew up in Seaside and Cannon Beach (northern), I figured I would make this travel guide for exploring the Oregon Coast is very special to me. The Oregon Coast is part of the 7 wonders of Oregon, and even though I am biased, I think it's the best one ;) I've driven every mile of HWY 101 from California to Washington and I wish that I had explored more of every beach, rock stack hike along the Whole coastline, but I will travel Oregon for the rest of my life. Half Moon Bay California is a charming seaside retreat that draws visitors for its famous Maverick big wave surfing, towering coastal redwoods, and rustic farms. Located along PCH and just 25 minutes south of San Francisco Airport, Half Moon Bay is an accessible weekend getaway. We explore the sheer-cliff coastline views, marine life, and redwood groves.
We also sample the delicious cuisine that ranges from breweries, seafood, to Peruvian and many of the dishes are crafted from fresh-caught fish and local produce such as pumpkins. We stay at the Beach House Hotel, which offers stunning hotel suites with views of the bay.

The Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve is on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
