Places to see in ( Chigwell - UK )
Chigwell is a civil parish and town in the Epping Forest district of Essex. Adjacent to the northern boundary of Greater London, it is considered part of the metropolitan area of London and the Greater London Urban Area. It is on the Central line of the London Underground. With Loughton and Buckhurst Hill, it is said to form part of the Essex golden triangle of wealthy places .
The local council of the civil parish is Chigwell Parish Council. The parish council originally existed from 1894 to 1933, and was created again in 1996. The parish council offices are located on Hainault Road. Councillors are elected from three wards: Grange Hill, Chigwell Row and Chigwell Village. Local councillors are also elected to Epping Forest District Council and Essex County Council.
The hamlet of Chigwell Row lies towards the east of Chigwell, near Lambourne; this part of the parish is well forested and mostly rural. Grange Hill is the area around the junction of Manor Road and Fencepiece Road/Hainault Road, extending as far as the boundary with Redbridge including the Limes Farm estate. Chigwell has a population of around 12,500 and is generally considered a wealthy area.
All bus services are Transport for London services, except route X5 and school routes 43, 804. Routes 150 and X5 only serve Chigwell Row. Routes 362 and 462 only serve Grange Hill. Chigwell is served by Chigwell station and Grange Hill station (further south bordering Hainault), both on the Central line of the London Underground. For a more frequent service to London there are also nearby Buckhurst Hill, Woodford, Loughton and Hainault stations as services between Grange Hill and Woodford are limited to three trains per hour in each direction, with an increased service during morning peak hours.

Hainault depot is a traction maintenance depot on the London Underground Central line, between Hainault and Grange Hill stations, now in the London Borough of Redbridge, England. Until boundary changes in 1998, part of the depot was in Epping Forest District. Construction began in 1939, but was delayed by the onset of the Second World War, and was not completed until 1948.

The Hainault-Woodford Shuttle on the Central Line
Since late 2019 most Central Line services between Hainault and Woodford have been operated as a shuttle, with two trains going back and forth every 20 minutes.
This part of the London Underground network includes some of the least used stations on the Tube.

🎥 Guildford is a larger town in England and has a beautiful high street which is one of the busiest streets, said Ferenc. You can often find musicians showing their talent and playing their own songs. Everybody loves to just stop for a bit and listen to these amazing and brave people. Guildford is amazing and in the heart of it, you can find Guildford castle. The Guildford castle has two parts the first one is the garden called Castle Grounds and the second one is the actual castle called Castle Keep. Castle grounds are Guildford's premier tower center park, an extremely vibrant and popular park enjoyed by everyone for its unique character and famous horticulture color. The grounds at Guildford castle were opened as public gardens in 1888 to mark Queen Victoria's golden jubilee of the previous year. The gardens are extremely popular displaying an amazing array of colorful bedding centered on the 11th-century castle cape.
In the 14th century, Guildford and other inland castles were no longer needed and fell into disrepair. In 1885 Lord Grantley of Wonersh, who owned a large part of the castle, sold it to the Guildford Corporation. The castle grounds are free to enter, but there is a small charge if you would like to visit the castle keep. If you have a dog this is the perfect place for a walk, just remember you need to keep him on the lead. The castle grounds opening times are 8am to dusk throughout the year. Other attractions include a life-size statue of Alice Through the Looking Glass, a historic bowling green, music concerts in the bandstand, the town's war memorial, and an open-air theatre in the summer months.

Central line full journey Woodford to Hainault 05/08/2022
On this day in 2019, I did the Central line from Ealing Broadway to Woodford via Hainault which was a direct service at the time. Now, it is 2 separate services. Woodford to Hainault every 20 minutes and Hainault to Ealing Broadway via Newbury Park every 10 to 15 minutes with some trains going to West Ruislip during the peak hours. Stations in the video:

In this video we see 1962 Stock 1570-1441 West End Central Line Rail Adhesion Train transferring through Marble Arch working T488 Ruislip Depot - Hainault Depot in preparation for the leaf fall season. The East End trains are being operated by the West End unit this year due to the East End unit's wheels being too large for it to fit through the tunnels of the Central Line.

Hainault Loop - Discovering Unexpected Surprises On The Central Line
In search of some surprising tube stations wonders on the central line's Hainault Loop. I have always been intrigued to visit the loop on the central line in London, but it's taken all these years to get there. So whilst not exactly a branch line or end of the line, technically it is because the trains terminate and you have to complete the loop with a shuttle service.
So from the hidden wonders of Gants Hill station to the less hidden architectural marvel at Newbury Park, from the kids TV show-inspired Grange Hill to the peaceful bliss of London's least-used station at Roding Valley, we checked out the Hainault Loop.

Regular Tube Nerds will know of the Kennington Loop on the Northern Line, but the Northern actually has a second loop of track (that's no longer in use) that predates the one at Kennington! Let's go see where it is ....
