পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের পাঁশকুড়া অঞ্চলের এক প্রত্যন্ত গ্রাম গোবিন্দপুর।
এই গ্রামে রয়েছে পোড়ামাটির ভাস্কর্যমণ্ডিত প্রায় দেড়শো বছরের প্রাচীন এক মন্দির----তারকনাথ শিবের মন্দির। এটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন দে পদবীধারী, তিলি সম্প্রদায়ভুক্ত এক ধনী জমিদার, ভারতচন্দ্র।
আটচালা এই দেবমন্দিরের প্রবেশপথ তিনটি খিলানবিশিষ্ট। বাঁকানো কার্নিশের নীচে থাকা দুই সারি কুলুঙ্গি, খিলান তিনটির উপরিভাগ, আর কার্নিশ থেকে ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর পর্যন্ত উল্লম্ব কুলুঙ্গির সারিতে প্রচুর টেরাকোটার মূর্তি রয়েছে। রামায়ণ কাহিনী, কৃষ্ণ কাহিনী, সামাজিক দৃশ্যাবলী আর নানান পৌরাণিক দেবদেবীর মূর্তি লক্ষ্য করা যায় এই ফলকগুলোতে।
দেবালয়টির উত্তরদিকের দেওয়ালের উপরের দিকে দুটি মিথুন মূর্তি লক্ষ্য করা যায়। মন্দিরের দক্ষিণদিকের দেওয়াল আর পশ্চিমদিকের দেওয়ালেও রয়েছে মিথুনধর্মী কয়েকটি মূর্তি।
প্রচুর টেরাকোটা ফলকে সজ্জিত এই মন্দিরটির শেষ সংস্কার করা হয়েছিল কুড়ি বছর আগে.....তবে আবার সংস্কারের প্রয়োজন.....ইতিমধ্যেই জীর্ণতার চিহ্ন কিন্তু ফুটে উঠতে শুরু করেছে মন্দিরের সারা গায়ে।

Kolkata is located on the east bank of the Hooghly River, it is the principal commercial, cultural, and educational centre of East India. It is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal.
Historical Background:-
The three villages, namely, Sutanati, Gobindapur and Kalikata joined to form Kolkata in 1698. It was called Calcutta and was the capital of India during the British rule til 1911. Great poet Rabindranath Tagore belonged to West Bengal. He won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1913 for his poetic composition Gitanjali.

The People of Kolkata celebrate many festivals but Durga Puja and Kali Puja are the special festivals.

It has warm and humid climate. It receives reainfall in summers but is cold in winters season.

ভগ্নপ্রায় জমিদার বাড়ি প্রাকৃতিক সুন্দর্য ভ্রমণ পিপুসদের আকৃষ্ট করবে | কুতুবপুর অথবা প্রমোদ নগর জমিদারবাড়ি, শান্তিপুর|
তবে প্রমোদ নগর জমিদার বাড়ি বলে একে।
কৃষ্ণনগর রাজবাড়ীর সময়ের এই ভগ্নপ্রায় জমিদার বাড়ির প্রাকৃতিক সুন্দর্য ভ্রমণ পিপুসদের আকৃষ্ট করবেই তার পাসপাসি এই জমিদার বাড়িটি ৭০০ বিঘা জায়গা নিয়ে বিস্তৃত। আরো শোনা যায় এই বাড়িটি বিস্তীর্ণ অঞ্চল জুড়ে চাষবাদ করা হতো তবে এখনো সেটি বিরাজমান। পুরোনো সেই 200 বছর সময় কাল থেকেই সেই বাড়িটি তথা সামনে দীঘিটি এখনো বিরাজমান। তবে বাড়িটি এখন ধ্বংসের মুখে। কিন্তু একটা কথা যেইটা না বললেই নয় এই জমিদার বাড়িটি একদম মধ্যখানে অবস্থিত। তার চারিপাশে বিভিন্ন রকম চাষের জমি আছে। তার সাথে এই জায়গাটির যে অপরূপ প্রকৃতিক সুন্দর্য সেটি প্রকৃতি প্রেমীদের কাছে একটি আদর্শ জায়গা হিসাবে পরিচিতি লাভ করবে।
