Arba Minch ist eine Universitätsstadt im Südwesten von Äthiopien. Sie liegt am Chamo- und Abayasee und somit am Eingang zum Nechisar-Nationalpark.
Der Name des Ortes bedeutet auf Amharisch Vierzig Quellen und bezieht sich dabei auf die reichlichen natürlichen Wasservorkommen der Region. Der Ort liegt am Fuß des westlichen Randes des großen afrikanischen Grabenbruches.
