About Dueling Journeys:
We are Val and Josh, husband and wife, and former full-time travelers, turned 9-5 travel addicts. In 2018 we began having those epic, meaty conversations: where to live, work, our stress level, goals, retirement, the list goes on. We asked ourselves a really important questions...what the heck are we doing with our lives?! Like so many others, we found ourselves in that perpetual cycle of work and consuming, work and consuming. That year-long conversation was not for the faint of heart. We decided to answer our question with 'sell it all and hit the road!' After nearly 2 years of full time travel we decided to set down some roots and take split our time between our home in NC and the road! We are so fortunate to be able to do live this way!
This channel is dedicated to sharing our journey! We hope to inspire others by our story and the places we visit to make that big decision in your own life that maybe you feel a little too scared to do!

COLORADO | Grand Junction: Top 4 desert explorations | 4K travel guide
Welcome to GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado! We often stop by on our way to Utah from Boulder, so we wanted to give you a glimpse of what to see there. In Western Colorado, we start to have desert-like landscapes with dry hills and red rock formations. There are nice scenic drives, short hikes, viewpoints, and also biking areas that I don't mention in this video. This video features Mount Garfield, Colorado National Monument, McInnis Canyons National Recreation Area, and Dinosaur Hill. Among all these, I would say spending a couple of hours enjoying the views from the Colorado National Monument is a must-do.
Have you ever been to Grand Junction, CO? Do you have other interesting spots to share? Do you plan on passing by anytime soon? Any questions about this area? Let me know in the comment!

Scenic drive of the Colorado National Monument: Fruita to Grand Junction
Let us drive you on Rim Rock Drive from Fruita to Grand Junction Colorado so that you can experience the Colorado National Monument. We wanted to try something a little different on this vlog: we basically wanted to be your virtual tour guides for this gorgeous scenic drive and national park. Even though there are 19 overlooks on this drive, we stopped at a few that were popular and a few that had available parking spots. Because of time, we decided to forgo any of the hikes (but we’ll be back!) Did you know that rocks at the foundation of the Colorado National Monument date from nearly 1.7 billion years ago? We found it fascinating to experience a natural wonder that is THAT old! Additionally, we were super impressed by how different the landscape is in this part of Colorado vs the Front Range (where we live). Colorado truly is a diverse state with so much to look at and experience.

Vlog 43: Scenic drive of the #ColoradoNationalMonument: #Fruita to #GrandJunction
----------------------
We’re Anna D and Adam, vloggers living in Colorado. After the pandemic shut everything down in March of 2020, we decided to make more time to explore our own state in part for our own mental wellbeing and in part because we’d been living here over 5 years and had barely hiked more than 10 different trails. We married on Valentine’s Day 2010 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. #Travel has always been something that we both love and have done quite a bit of in the 16 years we’ve been together. So why not combine our passion of video making and photography to share with you our adventures? We’re on a quest to find some of the coolest spots in #Colorado (and beyond!). Where should we visit next?

Surprising Fruita, Colorado: Home of Colorado National Monument and Mike the Headless Chicken??
Visit Fruita, Colorado | RV America Y'all
This week, we continue our Western Colorado RV travel adventures across Interstate 70 in Colorado with a visit to surprising Fruita CO. This small town in the high desert of the Colorado Plateau was different from what we expected in so many ways.
We met local artists at the Fruita Farmers Market, learned the story of Mike the Headless Chicken, relaxed at James M Robb State Park Fruita, and discovered incredibly scenic Colorado National Monument... how had we never heard about this place?!?
For more information on visiting and things to do in Fruita, Colorado, check out our website:

In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).
