Fort Knox State Park Maine
We knew it was going to be a lot of rain and wind today so we drove to Bucksport Maine to visit the Penobscot Narrows bridge and Observatory, Colonel Bucks Monument, Fort Knox State Park. Today the park was closed to prepare for a Halloween calibration on October 31st, tomorrow but The Friends Of Fort Knox allowed us to have exclusive entry today considering my veterans status. We had the fort to ourselves. Inclement weather didn't stop us from having a great time alone in the fort. Watch our other videos on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory and the Cemetery where Colonel Bucks Monument is located. Although we lived only a couple hours from our home in Hallowell, we stayed at the Bucksport Motor Inn. It's a small, clean, quiet, reasonable rates, conveniently located next to colonel Bucks Monument.
