Manovo-Gounda St Floris National Park in Ouadda, Central African Republic
Manovo-Gounda St. Floris National Park is a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Central African Republic prefecture Bamingui-Bangoran, near the Chad border. It was inscribed to the list of World Heritage Sites in 1988 as a result of the diversity of life present within it. Notable species include black rhinoceroses, elephants, Sudan cheetahs, leopards, red-fronted gazelles, and buffalo, giraffes, lions; a wide range of waterfowl species also occurs in the northern floodplains. The site is under threat due to its rare wildlife dying and animals species being wiped out. The western black rhinoceros that was indigenous to the Central African Republic has gone extinct in 2011. The site was added to the List of World Heritage in Danger after reports of illegal grazing and poaching by heavily armed hunters, who may have harvested as much as 80% of the park's wildlife. The shooting of four members of the park staff in early 1997 and a general state of deteriorating security brought all development projects and tourism to a halt. The government of the Central African Republic proposed to assign site management responsibility to a private foundation. The preparation of a detailed state of conservation report and rehabilitation plan for the site was recommended by the World Heritage Committee at its 1998 session. People are working on breeding programs to revive the natural wildlife.
The park occupies most of the eastern end of Bamingui-Bangoran province in the north of the country. The park's northern boundary is the international border with Chad on the Aouk (Bahr) and Kameur Rivers. The eastern border is the Vakaga River, the western border is the Manovo River about 40 km east of N'Délé, and the southern border is the ridge of the Massif des Bongo. The Ndéle-Birao road runs through the park.

🔎 EXCERPT 🔎
We are talking about Florianopolis, in Brazil
also known as Ilha da Magia, or “The Magic Island”
And don't be afraid that this island is located in Brazil
because, honestly, and I say that as a Brazilian myself,
it does not look like Brazil
or at least it does not have many of the problems Brazil has.
Still, it has some issues… and today you will discover
the Pros, cons, and the cost of living in Florianopolis.
And if this is the life that you ever dreamed.
The idea to do this video came after a previous one called “Why you should Never Ever think about moving and retiring in Rio de Janeiro”.
And Florianopolis is the perfect contrast to Rio.
So let's start with the Pros of the Magic Island.
It is Safe
Because Brazil has many problems. The most famous of them is violence.
And at this point, the state of Santa Catarina, from which Florianopolis is the capital, is like an oasis.
Here is what a fellow Brazilian once said about Florianópolis:
“Florianópolis I would say is a more organized and more secure version of Rio.”
I agree with him.
While in 2023 Brazil had a homicide rate of 19.2 murders per 100 thousand people,
Santa Catarina has a rate of 7.9 homicides per 100,000 residents.

One of the most beautiful villages in Spain
Estepona is a seaside resort located on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. A promenade lined with palm trees, the Paseo Marítimo, runs along the Playa de la Rada. Nearby are the restaurants and nautical facilities of Puerto Deportivo, as well as a fishing port and the cove Playa del Cristo. The old town, full of whitewashed buildings, is centered around the ornate Plaza de las Flores square, where the eclectic works of the Colección Garó are displayed.
Estepona is one of the privileged enclaves of the Costa del Sol, which offers visitors much more than sun and sand. Tourists can immerse themselves in the recently renovated old town of Estepona, one of the most beautiful in Andalusia, and discover a network of narrow, white streets adorned with pots laden with flowers. Walking and discovering, a few meters from the sea, the true essence of an Andalusian town, is a luxury. Estepona Garden of the Costa del Sol is a unique place for the visitor.
A little history..
The origin of Estepona is somewhat confused, but it seems obvious that it was the Phoenicians who made the place a center of commercial exchanges, they gave it the name of Astapa, Astabbunna or Alexthebuna.
Some historians relate Estepona with the Iberian people of Saldaba, also attributed to Marbella, others mention Cilciana as the origin of the city.
In any case, at a place called the Porrejon, there are ruins which are probably the origins of this first settlement. What leaves no doubt is the passage and domination of the Romans, the city which to maintain its loyalty to Carthage, was besieged by Lucio Marcio and had to surrender in the year 208 BC.
Later and after numerous clashes between Muslims and Christians (in the waters of Estepona, Alfonso XI fought a historic battle in 1342, a battle from which he emerged victorious.), the city was conquered by Enrique IV, under whose mandate was built the Castillo de San Luis, of which remains can be found in Calle Castillo in Estepona.
With some 600 inhabitants, Estepona received from King Felipe V a letter giving it the title of independent city, we find this letter in the municipal archives.
From that day Estepona grew as a city to its current location.
The historic center
The old town of Estepona is made up of small streets with still whitewashed houses, and retains the shape and charm of small Andalusian villages.
Since the town hall began modernization and beautification works in 2012, no less than 120 streets have been renovated in the old town of Estepona. The result is a magnificent renovation for the historic center of Estepona, this part of town is a network of narrow white streets decorated with flower pots.It is a delight for the senses, allowing you to enjoy the essence of a typical Andalusian fishing village. This is why Estepona is now known as the garden of the Costa del Sol, it is, without a doubt, a unique place for all visitors.

🔎 VIDEO EXCERPT 🔎
If you are a content creator — like me — or planning to be a remote entrepreneur, this list of the best cities for remote workers is for you. I selected the best cities in the world for people like us to live in and spend little.
In this episode, I give you the options — 4 cities in Europe, 3 in South America, and 1 in Asia. The choice is up to you.
Best Cities for Remote Workers in Europe
Krakow, Poland
Average Internet speed: 43Mbps
Average living cost for a single expatriate: $1,122 / month (A studio rent in the city center is on average $565 per month)
Position in the Ease to do Business ranking:40th.
My own experience (from 0 to 10): 8
Krakow is the second-largest city in Poland, only behind Warsaw (where I live). Its metropolitan area has almost 1.5 million people, and the city has all services that an expatriate needs, like a high-speed railway connection to the capital and to the largest national airport.
One could ask why I listed Krakow instead of Warsaw. The answer is simple and relies on 2 things: 1st — Krakow didn’t suffer as much as Warsaw during the II World War and has a well-conserved old town that is among the most beautiful I ever saw. 2nd — Warsaw is 10% more expensive than Krakow. In fact, the higher cost of living in Warsaw is one of the main reasons that left the capital out of the 10 best cities in Poland to live in.
The city has a considerable international community, but I would rather recommend any expatriate to mingle with the locals: the well-educated Cracovians frequently speak English. It is also one of the most charming yet inexpensive cities to visit during Winter.
Lisbon, Portugal
Average Internet speed: 26Mbps
Average living cost for a single expatriate: $1,477 / month (A studio rent in the city center is on average $753 per month)
Position in the Ease to do Business ranking: 39
My own experience (from 0 to 10): 8
Best Places to Visit in Curaçao
Best Places to Visit in Curaçao
Curaçao is a Lesser Antilles island in the southern Caribbean Sea and the Dutch Caribbean region, about 65 km (40 mi) north of the Venezuelan coast. It is a constituent country (Dutch: land) of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and a unique Caribbean island paradise. Curaçao's highest point is the Sint Christoffelberg 372 m (1,220 ft).
The coastlines bays, inlets and hot springs offer an on-site source of natural mineral, thermal, or seawater used in hydrotherapy and mesotherapy, making this island one of many balneoclimateric areas in the region. While tourism plays a major role in Curaçao's economy, it is less reliant on tourism than other Caribbean countries. Most tourists originate from the Netherlands, Eastern United States, South America and other Caribbean Islands . It is a leader in the Caribbean in cruise tourism .
Ringed by picture-perfect beaches and craggy headlands clad in the occasional bloom of palms and sea grasses, spiny cacti and divi-divi groves, the terrain isn’t your usual soft sands and jungle.
There IS really plenty to see on the sun-kissed Curaçao! Check it out…
