TOP 10 PLACES TO VISIT ON THE OREGON COAST - 4K TRAVEL GUIDE

I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towsn of Seaside, Oregon, and its easily one of my favorite places in the whole world and is home to some of the most dramatic and beautiful coasts on earth from the giant sand dunes to the offshore rock stacks - it has it all. Since I grew up in Seaside and Cannon Beach (northern), I figured I would make this travel guide for exploring the Oregon Coast is very special to me. The Oregon Coast is part of the 7 wonders of Oregon, and even though I am biased, I think it's the best one ;) I've driven every mile of HWY 101 from California to Washington and I wish that I had explored more of every beach, rock stack hike along the Whole coastline, but I will travel Oregon for the rest of my life. There are many places to visit along the Oregon Coast, but so much conflicting information. This travel guide in 4K is an overview of my top 10 Places & Cities to visit along the whole Oregon Coast.

Rockaway Beach 116th Street Walking Tour: Who Comes To This Queens New York Beach?

Talk a virtual walk along Rockaway Beach in Queens New York. I start on the famous 116th Street in Rockaway Park. When I used to come to Rockaway Beach when I was younger we called it Far Rockaway. You can get here by bus or subway using the A train. The beaches in New York City like Rockaway Beach, Brighton Beach, and Coney Island are good beach options if you do not have a car in NYC. Because of this, typically Rockaway Beach at 116th Street was known as a party beach for NYC teens.

The LARGEST Urban Beach in the USA | Exploring Rockaway Beach | Hava’s New York

Having a 5.5-mile boardwalk and the only legal surfing beach in the city, this little beach town on the coast of Queens is a stark contrast to what we usually envision when we think of NYC. In this video, I take you to the beach to scope it out and share some surprisingly great food with you on the boardwalk!

Visit Rockaway Beach Like a Local | New York City

We visited Rockaway Beach on July 4th weekend, which should be insanely busy, but follow our tips to have the beach all to yourself (and still eat amazing food) on any weekend.

We decided to eat at Caracas Arepas. They're overpriced but SOOO good. We had the De Pabellón. Delicious. The line only took about 10 minutes.

If you want the beach to yourself, stay on the A train (don't switch to the shuttle at Broad Channel. Make sure you get an A train for Far Rockaway (not Lefferts Blvd). The A train will go east along Rockaway Beach. Get off at Beach 60th Street. The surfing area starts around Beach 62nd Street. There are WAY fewer people on the beach down on this part. There are restrooms here, but no food, so pack a lunch.

The food starts with Rippers at about Beach 84th Street. The blue food court in the video is at Beach 97th.

Thanks for watching Today's New Thing! We hope it inspires you to do something new today. :)

Keep exploring the borough of new york with our filmmaker Ulsdzimir Taukachou in 5K! Take a road trip from Far Rockaway To Brooklyn And Back. Pleasant rhythmic music and real motor noise as a background is perfect for indoor training or just decorating the interior. Drive through the streets of Brooklyn in the 2018 Nissan Rogue and see the city skyline in stunning quality with the GoPro 10 Bones Camera!

Brooklyn is rightfully one of the most historically interesting boroughs of New York. Founded by the Dutch, it was named after the Dutch city of Breukelen due to its hilly location. Brooklyn, although a densely populated area, is much freer here than in Manhattan. The locals think it's because Brooklyn is always wide, not tall. Inherently, Brooklyn is an independent cozy city, with its own characteristics, architecture, and history!

Embark on a 5K virtual drive through the streets of New York instead of a boring pastime. Standing in line, in traffic, or eating your lunch, turn your attention to exploring the bustling metropolis! Amazing shooting quality and pleasant musical accompaniment will provide you with a great mood after watching!

Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk

From surfers to swimmers to the Ramones, everyone wants to hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach. Rockaway Beach is a year-round resource for residents all along the Rockaway peninsula, and it comes alive each summer from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend with millions of visitors. In the wake of Superstorm Sandy, which struck New York City in October 2012, Rockaway Beach has also become a testament to New York's resilience, and a model for sustainable rebuilding.

Beach goers can enjoy the sand and water, the variety of concessions, and the city's only legal surfing beach, located between 67-69 Street and 87-92 Street. Rockaway Beach is also home to a variety of playgrounds and other outdoor activities.

Ramones

Rockaway Beach is a song by the American punk rock band the Ramones from their 1977 album Rocket to Russia. The song was written by bassist Dee Dee Ramone in the style of the Beach Boys and early surf rock bands. The song is about Rockaway Beach in Queens, where Dee Dee liked to spend time. Guitarist Johnny Ramone claimed that Dee Dee was the only real beachgoer in the group. Released in 1977, it was the Ramones' highest-charting single in their career, peaking at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100. In June 2013, the song was used in a radio ad campaign sponsored by Queens Economic Development Corporation to promote recovery from Hurricane Sandy by drawing New Yorkers back to Rockaway Beach.

It has since become a mixture of lower, middle, and upper-class neighborhoods. In the 2010s, it became one of the city's most quickly gentrifying areas.

How to get to Rockaway Beach, New York

1. Take the Far Rockaway bound A train (If you are on the Lefferts Blvd, you can transfer at Rockaway Blvd)
2. Transfer at Broad Channel to the S shuttle on the same platform- you don't need to go anywhere.
3. Take shuttle 1 - 3 stops (these are the main stops for the beach). The first stop is probably the most popular- it has beach goers and surfers.
4. On exit, walk to the street corner in front of you, take a left turn and walk until you hit the beach.
5. In the surfing only areas, you can't swim.. but after the first 2 or 3 wood separator areas, you will see people swimming.
