WHERE TO STAY IN BUDAPEST: A DISTRICT GUIDE -- True Guide Budapest
The city of Budapest covers more than 500 square kilometers. It is split down the middle by the River Danube, with the residential and hilly Buda on the west side, and the commercial, flat Pest on the east side of it. Budapest has 23 districts (kerület in Hungarian), which are numbered clockwise in widening circles (like Paris' arrondissements). It is easy to find the district from the address of a location, as the two middle digits of the four number zip code indicate it (for example: zip code 1056 means 5th district).
I created this district guide to help you choose where to stay in Budapest depending on the atmosphere and your travel style.
DISTRICT I.: romantic / first time visit
this is the castle district
DISTRICTS II., III., OR XII.: to enjoy greenery and relax
these are all on the hilly Buda side (Rózsadomb, Óbuda, Svábhegy)
DISTRICT V.: the downtown, ideal for business or for families with smaller kids
the city centre (Belváros)
DISTRICT VI.: on a budget and/or to enjoy the culture of the city
this are is called Terézváros
DISTRICT VII.: the Jewish neighborhood but also has great nightlife
this are is called Erzsébetváros
DISTRICTS VIII. AND IX.: cool but perhaps rough neighborhoods
they are called Józsefváros and Ferencváros
DISTRICTS IV. AND X.: they are mainly lower middle class residential and industrial districts
they are called Újpest and Kőbánya
DISTRICTS XI., XIII., AND XIV.: primarily upper middle class residential
district XI. is called Újbuda (on the Buda side), XIII. is Újlipótváros and XIV. is Zugló.
ALL OTHER DISTRICTS (XV., XVI., XVII., XVIII., XIX., XX., XXI., XXII., XXIII.) are further out from the city

I was born and have lived in this beautiful city, Budapest for decades. I am in love with it - and not because I haven’t seen anything else. I am a seasoned traveller and I have also spent many years living abroad. However, my heart (and wife, and jobs and goulash soup and lángos) have pulled me back to my birth town. The Unique Statues of BUDAPEST | Hungary Travel Guide
There are many Unique statues in Budapest, most of them with interesting stories and meaning. Not just Hungarian historical figures, but many foreign imporant people have also been immortalized on the streets in the form of various Sculptures and Monuments. In this video we show you around on the streets of Budapest, and tell the stories of some of the more unique and interesting statues that you may find!
We are exploring the Buda Castle district where we reveal an interesting story regarding the popular Fountain of King Matthias, and we also show a statues that may be proof that Woody Harrelson is a time traveler, plus some more.
Then we head to the downtown where Peter Falk, aka Detective Colombo has a statue, and share the stories behind some of the instagram favorite ones including the Policeman at the Basilica and the Little Princess on the Danube Promenade.

L'ancienne ville de #Pest forme depuis 1873 avec Óbuda et l'ancienne Buda (sur l'autre rive du Danube) la ville de Budapest. Ce toponyme désigne par extension les arrondissements de la rive orientale du fleuve et est même souvent utilisé comme diminutif de la capitale hongroise, Budapest.
A partir des rives du #danube , nous irons voir le parlement. Le parlement hongrois est un vaste bâtiment, inauguré au début du XXe siècle. Depuis 1902, il est le siège de l'Assemblée nationale de Hongrie et héberge à ce titre les services parlementaires ainsi que la Bibliothèque de l'Assemblée nationale de Hongrie. Cet édifice, dont les volumes s'organisent autour du dôme central, possède une façade néo-gothique mais un plan au sol qui suit des conventions baroques. En 2010, il s'agit encore du plus grand bâtiment de Hongrie et d'un des plus grands parlements d'Europe avec 18 000 m².
Après une courte promenade dans un parc, nous irons vers la Basilique Saint-Étienne de Pest ou église paroissiale de Lipótváros qui est la plus grande église catholique de la capitale. Dessinée initialement dans un style néo-classique, elle se caractérise par sa riche architecture et sa taille imposante. Nous irons vers l'opéra puis vers la place des Héros, une vaste place monumentale construite pour célébrer les mille ans d'installation des Magyars dans la plaine de Hongrie, elle est classée au patrimoine mondial par l'UNESCO. Après une longue balade, dans le par où se trouve l'étrange statue du moine ANONYMOUS, nous passerons rapidement aux Thermes Széchenyi puis nous repartirons vers la grande synagogue de Budapest située dans le quartier d'Erzsébetváros, dans le 7e arrondissement, elle est considérée comme la plus grande d'Europe et la seconde du monde par sa capacité d'accueil (3 500 places) et non par sa taille après le Temple Emanu-El à New York. Elle est la place forte du judaïsme néologue en Europe centrale.
Nous retrouverons les rives du Danube et les ponts de la ville avant d'aller aux halles centrales déguster quelques bonnes spécialités puis nous terminerons par le musée national hongrois.

Budapest District 6 - Terézváros [4k Ultra HD 60fps ]
Terézváros is a neighborhood in the 6th district of Budapest, Hungary, located just west of the city center. The area is named after Maria Theresa, who was the queen of Hungary in the 18th century.
Terézváros is known for its stunning architecture, particularly its impressive collection of Art Nouveau buildings. Some of the most notable examples of this style can be found on the famous Andrássy Avenue, which runs through the heart of the neighborhood. One of the most famous buildings on this avenue is the Hungarian State Opera House, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world.
