Argentina (Spanish: [aɾxenˈtina]), officially the Argentine Republic[A] (Spanish: República Argentina), is a country located mostly in the southern half of South America. Sharing the bulk of the Southern Cone with Chile to the west, the country is also bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, Brazil to the northeast, Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Drake Passage to the south. With a mainland area of 2,780,400 km2 (1,073,500 sq mi),[B] Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the fourth largest in the Americas, the second largest in South America after Brazil, and the largest Spanish-speaking nation. The sovereign state is subdivided into twenty-three provinces (Spanish: provincias, singular provincia) and one autonomous city (ciudad autónoma), Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the nation (Spanish: Capital Federal) as decided by Congress.[17] The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions, but exist under a federal system. Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas), and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

LAKE PUELO: Visiting the BEST LAKE IN PATAGONIA? Trail to the Border of ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 & CHILE 🇨🇱
Come join us as we visit possibly the best lake in all of Patagonia, Lake Puelo (known locally as Lago Puelo), in terms of pristine scenery, lake of crowds and hiking and boating opportunities. We also hike to a frontier section of the border between Argentina and Chile.
In order to visit Lake Puelo (Lago Puelo) we took the La Golondrina bus from El Bolson for a short bus ride to the lake. With frequent departures it is definitely the cheapest and easiest way to visit Lago Puelo (Lake Puelo) if you're staying in El Bolson. Conversely you could just stay in the town of Lago Puelo.
We had an incredible day of independent hiking in Lake Puelo before joining an organized boat tour where snow-capped mountains tickled our fancy off in the distance. Our one stop of the day was to go on a nice nature hike where we reached the border of Argentina and Chile. Overall, if you're thinking of visiting Lago Puelo we highly recommend it!

LAKE PUELO: Visiting the BEST LAKE IN PATAGONIA? Trail to the Border of ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 & CHILE 🇨🇱
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.
Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

Our FAVOURITE Town in PATAGONIA, Argentina: A Week in EL BOLSÓN with Friends travel vlog
Welcome back to our favourite town in Patagonia! That's right, today we’re hoping back into our Patagonia footage, and we're going to be sharing what we got up to during our week in the town of El Bolsón, Argentina.
I warn you, this is the randomest vlog ever because technically, this was supposed to be our week of no filming, but the thing is our camera is never too far from reach! So, this video is going to be a collection of moments in no particular order.
So, join us as we spend quality time with friends, visit all the cats and dogs we know, go hiking and break down on the side of the road in a national park, go to family dinners that turn into dance parties, and barbecue under the stars while we learn the art of drinking out of a leather wine skin.
This video is about as chill and unplanned as it gets, and I think it also shows why we love this slice of northern Patagonia so much.

Northern PATAGONIA is PARADISE! 😍✨ | Horse Trek & Boat Tour in Lago Puelo + El Bolson
Northern Patagonia truly is a slice of paradise! Emerald rivers, misty forests, snow-capped mountains - this place is a feast for the eyes.
We spent a few days enjoying some of the top attractions in Lago Puelo and neighbouring El Bolson, and that means lots of time in nature!
In this video, we'll take you on an epic horse trek to Cajón del Azul. This is a trek that begins in the outskirts of El Bolsón and it involves crossing multiple rivers and riding up into the mountains. We saw rivers in shades of turquoise and emerald that were incredible! We were there in the rainy season, but you can imagine what this place is like in the summertime.
Then, in Lago Puelo we went on a boat tour to explore the national park. We hiked to the border with Chile, drank water that flows down from a glacier, saw the rapids, and just had a wonderful time. Another highlight in Lago Puelo was the hanging bridge (Pasarela Río Azul) which leads to waterfalls tucked away in the forest.
We hope you enjoy this taste of travel in Northern Patagonia and get some ideas for your own trip!

THE SCULPTED FOREST of Patagonia, Argentina 🌲 | Where Burnt Trees Were Turned to Art in El Bolson
Come join us as we visit the sculpted forest of Patagonia, Argentina where burnt trees were turned into art in El Bolson. When it comes to hiking in El Bolson this is a must-visit attraction. The views you get of the city are simply spectacular and on top of that the wood carvings are very impressive.
The easiest way to reach Bosque Tallado is to take a mini-van which will bring you up the serpentine rural roads to the start of the trail and then pick you up several hours later. After enjoying the wood carvings you can continue hiking to a refugio where you can enjoy a nice snack along with some beverages.
Overall, if you're visiting El Bolson this is something we highly recommend. Also, if you're into paragliding this is the area you'll want to visit for an adrenaline filled adventure! No wonder El Bolson is one of our favorite towns in Patagonia.

We're Going to EL BOLSON! En Route to our FAVORITE TOWN IN PATAGONIA!
Come join us as we head to El Bolson, our favorite town in Patagonia, on an easy day of travel taking a short bus ride from Esquel. We kick things off with a short apartment tour in Esquel. Having stayed in Esquel for 8 nights, the longest stay of our trip in Argentina so far, we really came to enjoy this mid-sized town in Patagonia. Having a lovely cat friend certainly made it harder to leave as we could have easily stayed another week.
After a short taxi ride to the bus station in Esquel we waited to board our bus to El Bolson. The bus from Esquel to El Bolson is just a few hours, which was a welcome change after the marathon overnight bus rides we've been taking in Argentina of late. The journey from Esquel to El Bolson was incredibly scenic as we headed through valleys, mountains and forest along the way including witnessing a gorgeous rainbow. Upon arriving at our rustic Cabin in El Bolson we went out for some delicious Parrilla. We'll have many more episodes from El Bolsón coming soon.
