Mesch is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Eijsden-Margraten, quite near to the border with Belgium. The small Voer river, which has its source in Belgium, passes through this village among other streams and waterways, before draining into the Meuse river at Eijsden. The Mergellandroute, a route often used by tourists and mapped out by the ANWB, also passes through Mesch. For more information:

Maastricht is a city and a municipality in the southeast of the Netherlands. It is the capital city of the province of Limburg.
Maastricht is located on both sides of the Meuse river, at the point where the Jeker River joins it.

The town is popular with tourists for shopping and recreation, and has a large growing international student population. Maastricht is a member of the Most Ancient European Towns Network and is part of the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, which includes nearby cities Aachen, Eupen, Hasselt, Liège and Tongeren. The Meuse-Rhine Euroregion is a metropolis with a population of about 3.900.000 and counts various international universities.

In 2021, when the borders of the Netherlands were still closed for travelling but the country was slowly opening up again, we did a city trip to Maastricht and enjoyed everything it had to offer.
Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in The Netherlands. Because of the amazing historical center of Maastricht, we decided to travel to Maastricht for a couple of days. This Maastricht travel vlog shows you the best things to do in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
There are so many things to do in Maastricht when you are travelling to Maastricht! The city is filled with beautiful architecture, history, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Maastricht has a beautiful old city center to explore. Because of the size of the center, it is great to explore during your Maastricht travel. Although this Maastricht travel vlog cannot show all the awesomeness of our city trip, hopefully it will give you some tips for when you visit Maastricht 😉
