Best 21 Places To Visit in East Coast - Tourist Attractions in USA

best 21 places to visit in east coast usa - road trip

Alternating between mythical cities and insolent nature, the East Coast of the United States is a cocktail of diverse destinations.

New York, the city that never sleeps: certainly essentials, but it would be a shame to reduce it to a getaway in the Big Apple.

The region has other attractions from Philadelphia to Boston via Washington DC Visiting these metropolises unveils the crucial moments in American history, from the declaration of independence to the Civil War, from the saga Kennedy to the more recent inaugurations of Barack Obama or Donald Trump.

The cultural offerings of Philadelphia and Washington deserve all the superlatives; sur y is one of the finest museums and private collections in the world. Pittsburgh is no exception.

Named the third best world destination in 2015 by Condé Nast Traveler, this city continues to grow and has nothing to envy of its more popular neighbors.

The east coast also appeals to nature lovers. The surroundings of the big cities are grandiose, like the forests of the Shenandoah Valley, near D.C., or the Amish lands of Lancaster County just a stone's throw from Philly. The state of New York, shaded by the city of the same name, is full of waterfalls, vineyards and pretty beaches. Niagara Falls is one of the highlights.

Travelers cannot be encouraged enough to venture into New England with a first stopover on Cape Cod. Its long, wild beaches and lighthouses deserve a visit that will not fail to be coupled with a memorable excursion to the great of the astonishing small town of Provincetown or the island of Nantucket to meet the whales.

And still further north, here we are at the heart of the Appalachian chain, this backbone of the American East.

New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont offer visitors here their natural treasures: White Mountains, Green Mountains and Acadia National Park.

A paradise for hikers, from the bucolic path to the arduous ascent, with, as a reward along the way, splendid panoramas.

It is in the fall that a trip to New England is essential when the forests are adorned with incandescent colors. And who knows, the moose might just give the lucky traveler a bow. And count on the warm welcome of the Americans to make this stay unforgettable!

10 Best Places to Visit in the USA! 2021

The U.S.A. is massive, almost as big as Europe and just as varied. From snow-capped mountains to vast desert plains, and from bustling cities to untouched countryside, there's so much to choose from that it's hard to decide just where to go. But never fear, Destination Tips is here, to help you decide!

New Orlean's.
If you're looking for a unique urban experience, then New Orleans is the city for you. Its world-famous cuisine, the french quarter, Mardi gras carnival, music festivals, and laid-back atmosphere are immersive and addictive and definitely something you won't regret experiencing.

New York.
New York had to appear on this list because it has everything, Iconic Buildings like the empire state building, beautiful parks like central park, ethnic areas like little Italy and Chinatown, the statue of liberty, times square, and so much more! if you plan to go to New York, try to stay for a few days so you don't have to rush your sightseeing and don't believe the hype! A New York Hot Dog is a thoroughly underwhelming experience!

what do you think about the New York (Not so)Hot dog? comment below!

San Antonio.
Most famous for The Alamo but San Antonio has a lot more to offer. The River Walk follows the San Antonio River as it meanders through the city, lined with shops, bars, and restaurants you can walk or bike along the path whilst listening to the sound of the local Spanish flamenco music. San Antonio also has a 33 acre botanical garden, a zoo, Seaworld, and multiple museums, including the Texas Rangers Museum!

Savannah.
Victorian architecture, coastal islands, beautiful parks and squares, and cobbled streets offer a unique experience bathed in southern charm and hospitality. Enjoy award-winning southern cooking, Leopold's Ice cream, or take a cruise on the riverboat where you can dine, brunch, or enjoy a moonlight party after watching the sunset.

Los Angeles.
Another city that had to appear on the list was L.A. not because it's an especially nice city, high crime rate and air population are among its many problems, but because it has so many things to see. Hollywood Boulevard, The Hollywood sign, Walt Disney concert hall, Venice beach, countless movie studios, the oldest McDonalds restaurant, the walk of fame, Echo park, and of course, the infamous Skid row! ......No, Wait! probably best to avoid that last one!

Sedona.
If you are looking for something a little less urbanized and a bit more spiritual then Sedona is a great place to visit. Nestled within an array of red sandstone formations that give the town an otherworldly glow when the sun hits them. There are hundreds of hiking trails and mountain bike routes for you to explore and numerous festivals are celebrated throughout the year, including a food truck festival, an international film festival, and the summer and winter solstice festivals.

Yellowstone.
Yellowstone Park is enormous! so the number of hiking and biking routes it has is also enormous, but apart from that, Yellowstone has a lot more to offer. Camping, boating, fishing, and other outdoor activities are possible all year round. Over half of the world's Geysers are located in Yellowstone so they are well worth a visit, apart from Old Faithful it also has Grand Geyser (the world's tallest predictable geyser) and Giant Geyser (the world's most voluminous geyser).

San Diego.
If you're looking for a comfortable climate, beaches, and city life then San Diego is worth a visit. In addition to its beaches and harbor, San Diego has a Zoo and Safari park, a SeaWorld, sport fishing, amusement parks, and a large Craft Beer brewing industry, it even has a beer festival in November called San Diego Beer Week

Aspen.
If you'd rather have snow than sand, or prefer mountains to the sea then Aspen should be on your list. Host of the winter X-games, Aspen has 4 different ski areas, Aspen Highlands, Ajax Mountain, Snowmass, and Buttermilk. Aspen isn't just for visiting in the winter though, in the summer, White river national park offers plenty of outdoor activities and The Aspen Music Festival and School offer over 400 classical music events throughout the summer.

Hawaii.
Hawaii is one of the world's favorite holiday destinations, and it's easy to see why, a dry tropical climate and beautiful beaches, contrast with a wet tropical climate in its incredible mountain terrain and its cuisine, that is an amalgamation of many cultures, contrasts with the dominant presence of its own indigenous Hawaiian culture and folk music. A truly spectacular place that is definitely worth a visit!

4K Walking Tour | Echo Park Lake | Los Angeles | California, USA | Travel Vlog | Beautiful Places

4K Walking Tour | Echo Park Lake | Los Angeles | California, USA | Travel Vlog | Beautiful Places

Welcome to our 4K walking tour of Echo Park Lake, one of the most historic and scenic landmarks in Los Angeles, California. Situated in the heart of Echo Park neighborhood, this beautiful lake has evolved from its beginnings as a city reservoir to a beloved public park offering natural beauty, recreational activities, and serene views of downtown LA. Join us as we take a stroll around Echo Park Lake and explore its rich history, stunning scenery, and the cultural significance it holds within Los Angeles.

Echo Park Lake History
Originally established as Reservoir No. 4 in 1868, Echo Park Lake played a vital role in the early development of Los Angeles. It was part of the water infrastructure built by the Los Angeles Canal and Reservoir Co., which funneled water from the Los Angeles River through a series of ditches into the reservoir. By 1891, the area surrounding the reservoir was donated to the city by the landowners, allowing it to be transformed into a public park.

Joseph Henry Tomlinson, the city parks superintendent, is credited with giving the park its name after hearing echoes during the lake’s construction in 1892. This led to the park becoming the heart of the Echo Park neighborhood. By 1895, the park's boathouse was completed, making it a popular destination for recreation.

Echo Park Lake and Early Hollywood
By the early 1900s, Echo Park Lake was already a fixture in the budding film industry. Motion picture companies, such as Keystone Studios, used the park for filming silent movies, including their iconic slapstick comedies like the Keystone Kops. However, as the popularity of the lake grew, the city imposed restrictions on filming due to concerns over flower trampling and environmental preservation.

Modern Echo Park Lake
In 2006, Echo Park Lake was classified as an impaired body of water due to pollution. Recognizing its ecological importance, the city launched a $64.7 million revitalization project to clean and restore the lake. The rehabilitation effort, which included draining the lake in 2011, aimed to improve water quality, create new wetlands for wildlife, and enhance recreational spaces for the public. The park reopened in June 2013 after a $45 million renovation, transforming it into a cleaner, greener space for the community.

What to See at Echo Park Lake
In this 4K walking tour, you'll experience the beauty and serenity of Echo Park Lake. Here are some highlights you won’t want to miss:

Lotus Beds & Pedal Boats: Echo Park Lake is home to the largest natural lotus flower beds in the United States, which bloom beautifully every summer. The lake also offers pedal boats, allowing visitors to get up close to the lotus beds and enjoy the water.

Downtown LA Skyline Views: One of the most iconic views from the lake is the stunning backdrop of downtown Los Angeles. Whether you're walking along the lakeside or floating in a pedal boat, the skyline provides a striking contrast to the natural surroundings.

Echo Park Lake Boathouse: The historic boathouse, built in the 1890s, is still a focal point of the park today. It has been renovated and is now a cafe where visitors can grab a snack or refreshment while enjoying the views.

Recreation & Wildlife: Echo Park Lake is not only a scenic spot but also an important part of the Los Angeles ecosystem. The renovation added wetlands that help filter the water and create a habitat for ducks, geese, and turtles. It’s a perfect place for a leisurely walk, picnics, or birdwatching.

Echo Park Lake Walking Path: The lake features a 1-mile walking path that circles the entire body of water, making it an ideal destination for a peaceful walk, jog, or run. The path offers benches, shade from palm trees, and plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the beauty of the lake and its surroundings.

Echo Park Lotus Festival
The Echo Park Lotus Festival is an annual event celebrating the blooming of the lotus flowers, which have become a symbol of the park. The festival also highlights the cultural diversity of Los Angeles, featuring performances, food, and art from various Asian and Pacific Islander communities. It’s a vibrant and colorful event that draws locals and tourists alike.

Echo Park Lake Walking Tour | 4K

The weather has been perfect lately--not too hot and not too cold. :) I decided to take a quiet mid-week stroll around Echo Park Lake, one of the most iconic destinations in Los Angeles. Located right around the corner from Sunset Boulevard and the shopping streets of the Echo Park neighborhood, the park is a popular destination on the weekends for hip, trendy Angelenos looking for a break from the traffic. The lake is iconic for its fountain geyser and swan pedal boats. I'd definitely recommend dropping by if you're looking for a break from the bustling city and a gorgeous view of the DTLA skyline.

Why is it called Echo Park? Water history in Los Angeles !

Why in the CAL is it called Echo Park? Is there an Echo? Water history of Los Angeles. What was the Zanje Madre? We visit Echo Park and it's Swan Boats to uncover the original use of this man-made lake and how it figured into the early water system of Los Angeles. Very timely as we try and conserve water all over the state. @Mwdh2o
