SimOnTrains first visit to Lapworth Station
Lapworth Station lies between Birmingham Moor Street and Leamington Spa but it also a Station that SimOnTrains hasn't had the chance to visit due to the service patterns.
Thanks to the May timetable change, the chance to visit Lapworth was great as it gain a hourly West Midlands Railway service between Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon via Dorridge. These services used to speed through this location but they now calling at this station using the Class 172 Diesel Multiple Units.
This video is a quick visit to Lapworth to finally tick off a station that I wanted to head to for a very long time!

@ndge Burrough Hill is an Iron Age hill fort in Burrough on the Hill, a village approx seven miles south of Melton Mowbray in the county of Leicestershire in England, UK.
Shots were filmed on 6 January 2024
The Hill Fort is on an ironstone promontory or hill with very wide panormaic views. On a clear day you can see about 12-20 miles in every direction. Burrough Hill is a Scheduled Ancient Monument with all the protections that entails.
The site is around 200 Metres or 660 feet above sea level. Evidence of settlements found here date from later Prehistoric times and Mesolithic (Mid Stoneage) times around 8,000 -10,000 years ago. pottery and animal remains have been found dating from many periods in history; Bronze Age, Iron Age, Ancient tribes and Roman times.
The surrounding feilds were farmed in Medieval times with Ridge and Furrow style agriculture. It is thought that the busiest usage of the Fort was around 100BC to around 50AD, with evidence of wide trade links across England, Ireland and Europe.
The area of the main fort is about 12 acres or around 4.7 Hectares. The ramparts are about 10 ft (3 metres) tall but would have been taller for defence in earlier times.

Can I be LUCKY on the Snow Hill Lines? Visiting Dorridge to Acocks Green
The Snow Hill Lines has a reputation of trains being ether delayed or cancelled but, in this video, SimOnTrains is visiting 5 Stations on the Snow Hill Lines without encountering a cancelled train! While doing a bit of Snow Hill Lines Trainspotting
The Rail Journey starts at Rugeley Town as SimOnTrains heads to Birmingham and focus on the Chiltern Mainline between Dorridge station and Acocks Green station, taking in Widney Manor station, Solihull train station and Olton station and hopefully encounter some Class 68 Diesel Locomotives as well with other trains operated by West Midlands Railway, CrossCountry Trains and also any freight trains running on this stretch of the line.
The question is.... can I be lucky on the Snow Hill Lines?
