Most of the bridge is a low-level viaduct. There are also cable-stayed sections to allow for the passage of large ships, the largest with a span of 420 meters (1,380 ft). Donghai Bridge is part of the S2 Hulu Expressway.

Connected to Shanghai's Pudong New Area by the Donghai Bridge and forming part of the Port of Shanghai, the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan are administered separately as part of Zhejiang's Shengsi County.

Mount Lao is located in Laoshan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is the main mountain range of Shandong Peninsula.
The highest peak is the giant peak at 1,133 meters above sea level, which has become a famous Taoist mountain for its majestic, spectacular, peculiar and beautiful. It is the highest peak of China's coastline and is known as the first mountain on the sea. There is an old local saying: Although Mount Tai has high clouds, it is not as good as Donghai Lao.
Mount Lao is high in the east with cliffs facing the sea, and in the west is gentle but undulating hills. The mountain area is 446 square kilometers.
