Ireland - 7 Fun Things to do and see in Dublin on a family tour with kids

Ireland - Things to do and see in Dublin on a family tour with kids
See more details on the blog:

You can't really spend a month on a family trip to Ireland and not stop in Dublin. Luckily we had met some new friends via our Instagram channels in Austria who lived just a short busride outside of the capital city. We were able to stay with them in a room they normally rent via AirBnB and commute in for two days. It's a great city with lots to do. We walked around everywhere and saw the main touristy things except the Guinness tour which we skipped. We crossed ha'penny bridge to go to the Leprechaun museum which is actually mostly about folk tales, we took the hilarious Viking tour (a rubber ducky tour) where we wore viking helmets and roared at the pedestrians. We saw the book of Kells and the even more impressive Trinity Library, we visited Dublinia, a wonderful interactive museum, had a pint in several pubs including the oldest in Dublin, and just had a wonderful time. We truly lucked out in the weather as it was sunny and warm the whole time.
While we stayed with friends, there are many fine family hotels and accommodations in the city for families on tour in Ireland. We also had great food and our kids were welcome everywhere.

Donabate - Balcarrick Bay Beach | Co. Dublin | Ireland - Cinematic DJI Drone Video 4K

Donabate is a small coastal town in Fingal, Ireland, about 20 kilometres north-northeast of Dublin. The town is on a peninsula on Ireland's east coast, between the Rogerstown Estuary to the north and Broadmeadow Estuary to the south.

Balcarrick Beach is a picture-book beach with all the facets that characterize Irish beaches: Extensive sandy areas are interrupted here by rocky sections, a Martello tower adorns the coastal section and Lambay Island lies in front of the bay. At the northern end of the beach, a footpath leads along the coast to Tower Bay at Portrane.

Portrane Donabate Cliff Walk - Nearly Fell Off A Cliff #4K, #GoPro Hero9, #Drone Views

Donabate is a small coastal town, which is mainly a residential area with population of approximately 8000 people. The town is on a peninsula 20 km to the Northeast of Dublin. The reason I wanted to show you this small town is because it has a cliff walk that offers stunning scenery and views to the Irish Sea and to the Lambay Island. At the same time, you will hardly see any people (especially on a weekday). So, if you want to spend time in the nature, soak up some breath-taking views and at the same time enjoy some peaceful time this would be the perfect spot for you.
