25 Reasons why NOT move to MEXICO
More Americans than ever before are moving or retiring to Mexico but these are some reasons why you might not want to move to Mexico.
I've been living in Mexico for about 5 years and I think it's going to be my forever home. With that said, there are many Americans and Canadians who move here thinking the same thing, but after spending 6 months or a couple of years here, they end up deciding that it's not right for them.
Many of the points mentioned in this video are why expats end up moving somewhere else or moving back to their home country.

What they DON'T tell you about the DANGERS of MEXICO
When speaking of Mexico safety and the dangers of living in Mexico, people usually talk about whether or not they felt safe and if anything bad happened to them while they were there. However, I think there's something much more important that should be considered when comparing one country to another.

🇲🇽 MEXICO versus SERBIA 🇷🇸! Who won 2021? | Travel REVIEW of the YEAR | FAVOURITE LOCATIONS & more!
2021 TRAVEL REVIEW! - Compared to 2020, I have managed to have a relatively normal (whatever that is) year of full-time travel and being a digital nomad despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, largely by sticking to fewer countries for longer. Largely, Mexico and Serbia - two countries which will always be two of my ultimate top-tier destinations, regardless of the positives and negatives. Travelling in Mexico and Serbia this year has been awesome. Nombre de Dios, Durango, Subotica, and Bajina Bašta are among my highlights
Putting teaching English online, writing business English eBooks, and Polish Citizenship to the side, I want to focus on what I’m going to STOP, START, and CONTINUE in relation to Travel and YouTube in 2022. Polishing a turd, lesser-known destinations such as Torreón and Užice being ultimate superstars of the year, travel stress, and how travel as a genre on YouTube has changed have been ongoing storylines in 2021. What am I going to continue? What am I going to do differently? Which country provided the most enriching travel experience? Mexico or Serbia?
As described in the video, there is a stark difference as to how I have felt Mexican and Serb subscribers approach foreigners in their countries. One thing I didn’t add is that I know its not Mexican subscribers’ responsibility to change their approach, it’s my responsibility to be more adaptive to the way they approach foreigners in Mexico. But still, we can meet in the middle!

🔎 EXCERPT
Today you will discover an unexpected destination visited by over 60 thousand Americans every year, and 10% of this number decided to stay there permanently!
Stick around as we reveal the pros, cons, and costs of this almost hidden gem for expats: Nicaragua!
Let's start with the pros.
1st - The Cost of Living
The affordability of Nicaragua is particularly enticing for retirees on fixed incomes. The cost of living is nearly 50% lower than in the U.S., with rental prices averaging 84% less.
You hear it right: 84% less. This is especially appealing for U.S. citizens looking to make their money stretch further and enjoy retirement in a beach property with jaw-dropping views.
In the final part of this video, we will talk more about the extremely low cost of living in Nicaragua, and prepare to be surprised.
2nd pro: Property Investment
Nicaragua might be one of the easiest places in Central America to buy real estate. For starters, you don’t need to be a citizen to buy property, Real estate is very affordable, and there is an increase in spending on infrastructure and growth within the tourism sector. All that together makes investing in property a worthy business venture.
3rd pro: Out-of-country earnings are not taxed
If you live in Nicaragua and get money from outside the country (for example: your pension fund) and put this money in your Nicaraguan bank account, you don’t have to pay income tax on it.
Yes, you read it right. Your income from abroad is tax-free if you receive the payment in your personal account.
4th pro: Variety of Things To Do
Nicaragua has a huge range of things to do, there is something for every lifestyle.
Staying at a LUXURY ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT in MEXICO
Now Jade invited us to stay at their all inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico during the pandemic. This is what happened...
►Get 3 extra months free w/ TANGERINE at
Right now, we're living in Puerto Morelos, Mexico which is a short drive away from the luxury all-inclusive resort Now Jade. This experience was a big upgrade from our last Mexico all-inclusive resort experience. In this video, we'll be taking you along as we:
- Explore the beautiful property next to the Caribbean,
- Eat at their fine dining restaurants,
- Chat about their COVID-19 protocols & safety measures,
- Order room service,
- Lounge in the balcony hot tub,
- Have fun at the pool (with its SWIM UP BAR)
- And more shenanigans!
Even with the pandemic going on, we had a really enjoyable time at this resort and felt very safe there. If you're considering an all-inclusive in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum, you might want to give this one a try!
If you'd like a travel agent to book everything for you (airfare, transportation, hotel, tours, etc.) email Trisha at MyTrishAdvisor@gmail.com with the title TANGERINE and she will hook you up.

ABOUT US
We are Jordan, Maddie, & Laska the husky. In 2018, we packed up our tangerine-colored car and left the US to start traveling Mexico. Since then, we've been making travel videos about our life in Mexico and the new experiences we encounter while traveling the world. Become one of the “Tangerine Elite” by binge-watching our videos from the beginning:
