Stagecoach South Yorkshire Gold 50 Full Rounder Visual- Sheffield to Eckington to Sheffield
So, I boarded intending to timelapse the 50. I didn't board intending to end up 1hr25mins later at the same place that I boarded... xD
It turns out that at the moment, due to the special timetables Stagecoach are still on, all 50 journeys throughout the day terminate short at Eckington, with only 50a buses going past Eckington to Chesterfield, which is where I'd intended on getting off. I found it a bit awkward, but it was quite a chill journey still because the bus was virtually empty the whole way. And to be fair with myself, the next bus display in the Interchange said '50 Chesterfield' and then the bus came in with 'Chesterfield 50' on the display; so how on earth was I supposed to know it was only going to Eckington?!
Funnily enough, I also didn't get a Gold vehicle for my journey. The Gold 50 as seen in this visual, runs from Sheffield Interchange to Eckington, Birk Hill Estate via Sheffield Station, Sheffield College, City Road, Manor Top, Intake, Frecheville, Birley Moor, Mosborough, Windmill Greenway, Eckington Bus Station and Ravencar Road. The journey back to Sheffield is pretty much the same as the reverse of those places listed before, except it enters the city centre via Ponds Forge rather than going past Sheffield Station. It is also a limited stop route along City Road, Mansfield Road & Birley Moor Road in order to speed past the 120s and not take ages to get into/out of Sheffield...
The 50 uses mostly ADL Enviro 400 Scania N230UDs from the Stonegravels (Chesterfield) garage, and runs every 30 minutes combined with the 50a.
