Chagai District (Balochi: ضِلع چاغى; Urdu: ضلع چاغی), also known as Chaghi District, is the largest district of Pakistan and is located in the north west corner of Balochistan, Pakistan.According to the 1998 census, the total population in the Dalbandin and Taftan subdivisions was 93,000, the majority of which (96%) had Balochi as a first language.Chagai District is administratively subdivided into the following tehsils and union councils:

Dalbandin is an historical city. Its markets provide 24 hours shopping facility at Pak-Iran highway.
Most of its land is like the desert. However, some part of this district is mountanious.
Dalbandin is linked with entire Pakistan by railway network and airport.
Pakistan International Airline provides facility to fly nationally and international through this airport.
Currently, American forces are using this airport as their base for operations in Afghanistan.
From Dalbandin to Taftan, there is almost one hour drive on personal car.
Taftan is the last city of Pakistan. It has economic worth.
Most of trade towards Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Iraq and Kuwait are occured through this railway station and Pak-Iran highway.
Similarly, Iranian markets have also been connected to Pakistani and Chinese markets through this railway station.
This city is not only Baloch populated, but all the ethnic groups of entire Pakistan have been settled in this city.

After our journey through the Iranian part of Balochistan ( it's time to enter Pakistan.
•1 day of hitchhiking from Zahedan, Iran, to Taftan border & waiting in Levies station for escort. Levies are paramilitary forces;
•1 day escort by levies, all armed with AK 47's, from Taftan to Dalbandin in 5 different vehicles with lots of administration and tea drinking on the way. In Dalbandin we were obligated to stay at a hotel, chosen by the government. Do bargain, because they will start with their highest price.
•1 day armed escort by levies and policemen from Dalbandin to Quetta in 17 different vehicles, again with lots of administration and tea drinking on the way;
•1 day of making NOC in Quetta, buying train tickets and waiting for the next day, without freedom of movement;
•36 hours of train trip (+ metrobus & taxi) from Quetta to Islamabad, the whole night sitting on a shitty chair in economy class and being woken up every 5 minutes by tea sellers with shrill voices.
