So I visited Dahanu (which is near Mumbai) with my family on my 25th birthday and it was great fun! It's a cool place to visit during December because it has lovely weather and a super clean & serene beach.

Located in the district of Thane, Dahanu sea-side town has an ambience that is wonderfully quite. This uncluttered beach is a paradise for sea lovers and the vast expanse of sand is an ideal place to laze around. Stretching from Dahanu to Bordi, this 17 km of landscape is just the place where you want to be in order to escape from the world or work and worry. It is a best place to visit at evening and Witness the sunset.

Chikhla beach is most beautiful and cleanest beach that i have ever visited near mumbai. After exploring kelwa beach, chikhla beach touched my inner soul. Not so far from dahanu road railway station.
First come to Dahanu road railway station, take a shared auto to chikhla or chikhale beach. Shared auto 30 rs and private auto 150rs.
