Top 10 Best Luxury Hotels in Normandy France: Boutique & 5 Star Resorts. Honfleur, Deauville, Bayeux

Hotel Reviews: The Luxe Voyager's exclusive curated listing of the Top 10 Best 5 Star Luxury Hotels, Resorts & Boutique hotels in Normandy, France. With its wild beaches, rolling countryside, romantic chateaux & historical towns, Normandy is one of the most beautiful regions in France. Situated in north-west France, Normandy is famous for its medieval and 20th-century history, Impressionist art, regional cuisine, beautiful landscapes and picturesque towns. What makes Normandy different is its culture, the legacy of William the Conqueror, the historic scars left by the Second World War, its distinctive local cuisine and the rich cultural heritage.

With 350 miles of coastline and beaches, and richly varied landscapes, Normandy gives you a wonderful choice of scenery and culture: the stunning beauty of the cliffs of Etretat, the historic coastline stretching from Caen to Sainte-Mère-Eglise via Arromanches-les-Bains, the River Seine winding between wooded hills and chalk escarpments, the craggy hills of the Suisse Normande, the metropolitan excitement of Rouen and the fields and hedges of Calvados, punctuated with orchards and half-timber houses.

Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay count among France’s most stunning sights. Enjoy Normandy’s unique blend of maritime traditions and rural way of life. Marvel at its historic towns and buildings, stroll down quiet country lanes, enjoy local dishes in picturesque villages, or sip a drink by the quayside of one of its old ports while fishermen repair their nets and seagulls soar overhead.

#France Travel Vlog | #Deauville, the most #Normandy's chic and glamorous seaside city

For a long time, I have had an urging question: “Why my French colleagues can visit Normandy serval times per year?”.

I bring this question to ask our colleagues, and one of the answers is “Deauville”.

Once we landed here, I immediately found the reason.

#Deauville is a gem - same as #Honfleur - and is a perfect getaway spot for your weekend trip if you live nearby (it takes you less than 2h to get there from Paris).

There are lots of things to do in #Deauville; from playing in the casino, watching horse racing, playing golf, shopping (lots of shops from luxury brands), or just enjoying life.

Wherever you look, it is just beautiful. You can take a stroll along the coastline, in the city center, or just enjoy the timber-framed architecture.

May you also feel it through our #Deaulville video 😇 ?

Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy, is a captivating city that seamlessly blends medieval charm with modern allure.

Situated along the Seine River, Rouen France offers visitors a wealth of experiences, making it a must-visit destination for history buffs, art enthusiasts, and culinary connoisseurs alike. When planning your Rouen travel itinerary, you'll find no shortage of things to do in Rouen, from exploring its rich architectural heritage to indulging in its gastronomic delights.

One of the best things to do in Rouen is to visit the magnificent Rouen Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece that inspired Claude Monet's famous series of paintings. The Gothic structure, with its intricate façade and towering spires, is a testament to the city's religious and cultural significance. As you explore the Rouen attractions, don't miss the opportunity to climb the Tour de Beurre for panoramic views of the city.

For history enthusiasts, a Rouen tour should include a visit to the Place du Vieux-Marché, where Joan of Arc was famously executed in 1431. The modern Church of St. Joan of Arc, with its unique design reminiscent of an upturned Viking ship, stands as a poignant memorial to the French heroine. Nearby, the Gros Horloge, a Renaissance-era astronomical clock, is another iconic landmark that shouldn't be missed during your Rouen sightseeing adventure.

Art lovers will find plenty of cool things to do in Rouen, including a visit to the Musée des Beaux-Arts. This renowned museum houses an impressive collection of works by Impressionist masters such as Monet, Sisley, and Pissarro, as well as paintings from various other periods. For those seeking unique things to do in Rouen, consider exploring the Ceramics Museum or the Flaubert Museum, dedicated to the famous French novelist who was born in the city.

As night falls, the list of fun things to do in Rouen expands to include a vibrant dining and nightlife scene. The city's old town, with its half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets, comes alive with bustling restaurants, bars, and cafes. Sampling local Norman cuisine, including dishes like duck à la Rouennaise and Camembert cheese, is undoubtedly one of the top things to do in Rouen France.

For those wondering what to do in Rouen beyond the city center, consider venturing to the nearby Rouen Botanical Garden or taking a scenic river cruise along the Seine. These activities offer a refreshing change of pace and provide unique perspectives on the city's natural beauty and maritime heritage.

A Rouen travel guide would be incomplete without mentioning the city's numerous festivals and events throughout the year. From the Rouen Armada, a grand maritime festival held every few years, to the annual Christmas market, there's always something exciting happening in this dynamic Norman city.

In conclusion, whether you're interested in history, art, cuisine, or simply soaking up the atmosphere of a charming French city, Rouen offers a diverse array of experiences. Top 10 Places To Visit in Normandy,France

France's northernmost area is called Normandy. White-chalk cliffs and WWII beachheads, such as Omaha Beach, which was the scene of the renowned D-Day landing, are among its diversified shoreline. The rocky island of Mont-Saint-Michel, which sits just offshore, is capped by a towering Gothic monastery. Joan of Arc, a Catholic saint and military leader, was put to death in 1431 at Rouen, a city dominated by the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen.

City Tour of Deauville - Normandy, France. Les Planches Deauville, La Touques Racecourse

Vlog of my visit to Deauville, a glamorous seaside resort on the Côte Fleurie of France’s Normandy region. An upscale holiday destination since the 1800s, it’s known for its grand casino, golf courses, horse races and American Film Festival. Its wide, sandy beach is backed by Les Planches, a 1920s boardwalk with bathing cabins. The town has chic boutiques, elegant belle epoque villas and half-timbered buildings.

A popular seaside resort for locals and tourists alike, Deauville oozes style. Hosting glamorous events such as horse races and polo matches and the prestigious annual Deauville American Film Festival, Deauville also boasts two world-class golf courses, sea therapy spa, and high-end hotels, boutiques and restaurants, not to mention its magnificent beach and famous boardwalk.

We are now in Deauville a really charming place which is full of culture full of one of little places to visit, history is everywhere shops everywhere you get some really nice cafes boulangeries and restaurants look at those ornate houses: let's take a little walk if you look above you'd see different animals and different figures made of clay and covered with some shiny substance I don't know the technical term for it but the town is full of those figures. They are so ornate They make roofs look so much better Look at those little touches I can never get enough of this place. I mean, look at this, how cool is that! some buildings are old and historical and some buildings are new and you can only tell by being really up close to one they all merge together and all work together really really well which is quite amazing but if we go around and exit the city centre and actually walk down a regular Street we'll see that this beauty doesn't stop, it doesn't stop with a city centre And now we're going to see Villa Strassburger this is a truly ornate piece of architecture which was built in 1907 by Baron Henry de Rothschild he was a big fan of horse racing that's why he built it on the hill right next to the racecourse the colors are simply stunning unusual combinations of red, green, white and terracotta brick work is really sophisticated and of course it's setting in the midst of apple-trees makes it stand out it's true beauty can only be
appreciated up close and preferably in the sunshine when a vast array of details is leading
your eye around the surfaces of the villa. There is one tip that I really need to share with you about this villa: you do have to book well in advance in order to visit the villa inside; unfortunately at a time we did not know that but we've enjoyed this marvellous villa from outdoors only amidst other things it perfect we appeared in a paradise of vintage cars and other quirky cars as well this is when poltergeist is having a little bit of fun when wandering into different shops flowers don't just end outside: they're everywhere: real flowers artificial flowers, to be honest I am lost as to which one is which Visiting many boulangeries and
cafes we have noticed a vast amount of local produce so tasty: nom-nom! makes your mouth water every time! wandering away from the busy city centre we realised that all the villas are just as beautiful as the architecture in the historical city centre all the
villas look unique, pristine and everything sinks into the greenery covered by the wonderful sunshine of the summer thank you very much for joining me on this walk to Deauville, be sure to LIKE share and subscribe to my channel and remember to leave your comments below I'll see you next Thursday at 7 o'clock in the evening British Standard Time goodbye

Recorded on 08.08.2012

Inside the Hotel de Ville, Aix-en-Provence, France

One of Aix-en-Provence's most renowned centers of beauty, La Place de l'Hotel de Ville is surrounded by numerous 16th century architectural wonders - including the clock tower, the city hall and more.

The clock tower at La Place de l'Hotel de Ville has gone through many changes and renovations - indeed it once served as a military lookout for a time. It features both a modern, astronomical-style clock and a brass bell.

The city hall lies at the foot of the tower in La Place de l'Hotel de Ville. It is the center of many of Aix's activities and events, such as parades, celebrations, markets and more.
