TAMAN NEGARA, Malaysia: Jungle Trek & CANOPY WALK + Elephants and Waterfalls
Taman Negara is the most beautiful jungle in West Malaysia. Two-thirds of the country of Malaysia consists of Tropical Rainforest and Taman Negara is only a small four-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. You will find elephants, tapirs, monkeys, deer and wild boars. We also see hornbills, snakes and beautiful colored butterflies! I will take you to the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort, the only resort in the middle of the National Park. From there we take walks and boat trips to the longest Canopy Walk in the world, beautiful waterfalls and lots of wildlife! After our city trip in Kuala Lumpur and this visit to Taman Negara, we travel on to the Cameron Highlands, the 'Pearl of the Orient' Penang and the beautiful island of Langkawi!
We make our trip through Malaysia during a year-long world tour. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. If you are on holiday to Kelantan, Rantau Panjang is a must-visit. This is because, Rantau Panjang is one of the popular locations to shop apart from Pengkalan Kubur.
Here you can buy a variety of essentials at a fairly cheap price. Some of the items you can buy are:
1- Kitchen appliances of various sizes such as pots, pans, dish sets
2- Daily use clothing for various ages
3- Children's toys
4- Different types of fresh fruits
5- Clothing and essentials for outdoor activities
6- Ready-to-process foods such as citrus fruits
7- Women's decorations
8- Bedroom fittings such as veils, pillows and blankets
9- And other necessities
In other words, if you are going to the Rantau Panjang duty-free area you can purchase all your daily necessities in just one area. Before buying make sure you do the bargaining.
Visit Rantau Panjang is not difficult. You can just set your phone's waze or maps to 'Long Region Duty Free Zone'. If you are from the city centre of Kota Bharu, you only need to drive around 1 hour.
Since the Rantau Panjang duty-free area is quite hot with the sun,it is recommended that you take enough water. If you are tired when buying, you can go to the surrounding stalls. Most of the food menus here are according to Thai tastes.
Talk about parking area, you don't have to worry. This is because, the area provided is sufficient to accommodate the number of visitors .
For your information, although this area is duty-free, at every entry/exit point to Rantau Panjang there is a customs unit. Each vehicle will be inspected mainly on exit. In this case, if you buy large quantities of goods, you may be taxed. However, if the goods are purchased a little, you will be released.
