The Garden Route is a breathtaking stretch of coastline that spans over 300 kilometers along South Africa’s southern coast. Beginning in the Western Cape city of Mossel Bay and ending at Storms River in the Eastern Cape, this iconic route is known for its lush forests, dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and diverse wildlife. In this video, we show 10 highlights along the Garden Route. All of the places we mention are relatively close to each other and are possible to visit in a 5-10 day road trip. During our trip to Komani / Queenstown, we were captivated by the town's grandeur, surpassing our expectations of a typical destination. Upon arrival, our hearts sank at the sight of the beautiful town hall, once an emblem of history and pride, now a charred ruin due to unfortunate protests. It was a painful reminder of the fragility of cherished landmarks. However, our spirits were uplifted as we discovered numerous well-preserved historic buildings, particularly the awe-inspiring churches. Fortunate enough to set foot inside one, we were greeted by an architectural marvel. Driving through the town, we encountered old war memorials in the park, where people were joyously immersed in their activities. Our accommodation proved to be a delightful haven, meticulously maintained and inviting. In Sept 2021, I drove across some parts of Northern Cape and here is a visual compilation of those Beautiful Roads. Following are some of the best places to see in Northern Cape :

Karoo Hideaway Cabin AirBnB Tour | Mountain Zebra National Park
The Karoo hideaway cabin is situated on a farm just outside of Cradock. It is about 10km from the Mountain Zebra national park entrance which makes this cabin the perfect spot to stay when visiting the National park. The cabin was purposely built around huge boulders , one of which features an outside bath and shower ontop of the rock. The cabin sleeps 2 guests with a sleeper couch. It has all the self catering essentials and an outside braai area overlooking the stream.
This is definitely worth a visit especially when visiting the National park which is filled with activities from 4x4 self drives, game drives, and a restaurant.

Mountain Zebra National Park - Best View in the Karoo
Episode 23: For me, Mountain Zebra National Park in the Eastern Cape province is a very special place. Heck, the entire of the Eastern Cape province is a special place for me, but that can be the subject of a different article!
Mountain Zebra NP is situated on high ground close to Cradock. The entire park has very mountainous terrain and reminded me of Ithala Game Reserve in the interior of KwaZulu-Natal for that reason.

Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 4 March 2024, we will start today's video and show the rain across the southwestern part of South Africa. It was raining in Cradock and Mossel Bay. Other areas of South Africa that received rain were Blue Horizon Bay, Langebaan and Saldanha. Then, the Koeberg Nuclear Plant Emergency Siren Test was heard in Bloubergstrand. The Kgalgadi Lodge is five kilometres from the Twee Rivieren Rest Camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park of South Africa.
