Discover Soria an Amazing Hacienda in Central Mexico.

Guanajuato has many beautiful places to explore with serene villages and extraordinary landscapes. One of its hidden gems is the Hacienda de Soria. Take in this private tour and immerse yourself in the history of this hacienda founded in the Mexican Bajio in 1918. This remarkable place has gone through various stages of development. Beginning as a large producer of cotton fabric for the garment industry, it also produced small quantities of very finely woven cashmere.

Today, the mill continues to use its antique, yet advanced, machinery to manufacture some of the finest cashmere in the world. The hacienda is also a living community that is being refurbished for future projects to be open to the public. Visit its beautiful established gardens and tree-lined streets. Relax and enjoy a delicious lunch in its bucolic gardens.

After lunch we will be given a private demonstration of Molcajete creations by a Master from the village of Comonfort.

Join Travelian’s expert guides for this in-depth tour of Hacienda Soria. Ride in comfort and safety and enjoy a catered lunch in the lush hacienda gardens.

In the central highlands of Mexico, in the state of Guanajuato, there is a beautiful city called San Miguel de Allende. It has a beautiful local color and a rich history and culture. The city is full of beautiful churches from the colonial era, public parks and squares, and charming cobblestone streets lined with stately old mansions that have been there for hundreds of years. Things to do in San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende is a magnet for artists and small charming town enthusiasts. SMA has been designated the ‘Best Small City in the World’ by Condé Nast Traveler and ‘Best City in the World’ by Travel + Leisure.

Here’s how you can enjoy this easy to love city:

➡️ Parroquia - take in this massive, pink church that is the central focal point of SMA. Make sure to check it out during the day and at night. Both experiences are stunning and come with a bit of live entertainment.

➡️ Corridors - if you see one, go through it! There are so many random corridors that lead to beautiful Spanish colonial courtyards, shops and cafes.

➡️ Doors - Back in the day, doors were constructed and intricately designed to reflect social status. The bigger the door, the greater the status…

➡️ Get Lost - The historic Centro is walkable and the best way to explore it is to get lost. We found a mercado, great restaurant and a cool art boutique…

➡️ Boutique Shops - The entire vibe of SMA is boutique and within it you’ll find a plethora of local shops and boutiques for clothing, hats, souvenirs, etc…

➡️ Galleries - SMA has gained the reputation of being an artist haven all thanks to Instituto Allende. Today there are countless galleries and studios to explore such as Fabrica La Aurora, Yuri Zatarain, Exim Galleria.

➡️ Grab a drink - with a multitude of corky, quaint and sophisticated bars in town, be sure to stop into a local cantina to grab a quick taste of the spirits and enjoy your flow through the town.

➡️ Rooftop Hop - SMA must be experienced from one (or a few) rooftops. There’s no shortage of restaurants and bars with rooftop terraces to enjoy a different but equally stunning view of the city. Head to Quince, Rosewood Hotel, or The Rooftop at Selina to take in the city.
