TOP 5 PLACES TO VISIT IN BARBADOS #shorts
TOP 5 PLACES TO VISIT IN BARBADOS #shorts +travel
1: Carlisle Beach is located in the village of Old Road on the south coast of Antigua. This expansive beach offers clear waters, fine sand, and excellent snorkeling where you can find a wide variety of tropical fish. The water in fact is so clear that it makes it a haven for divers and snorkelers alike. It is one of the less crowded beaches for visitors too, which makes for a divers paradise.
Address: 39RR+775 Carlisle Bay, Bay St, Bridgetown, Barbados
2: Bathsheba is the main fishing village in the parish of Saint Joseph with some 5,000 inhabitants on the east coastline of Barbados. The town has a number of quaint churches; Saint Joseph Anglican Church was built on Horse Hill in the town as early as 1640 but was rebuilt in 1839 following a hurricane in 1831. Little Saint Joseph chapel was built nearby in 1837 but was restored and dedicated to Saint Aiden in 1904 following a landslide. It has a number of attractions including the Flower Forest and Cotton Tower which is renowned for its dramatic scenery and views of Scotland District. The ecologically rich Joe's River Tropical Rainforest is located on the outskirts of the town with some 85 acres (340,000 m2) of woodland and rainforest with giant ficus, citrifolia, fid woods, white woods, cabbage palm trees and mahogany trees. Bathsheba beach is known as the Soup Bowl where local and international surfing competitions take place annually. Another notable feature of Bathsheba beach is the large boulder that sits slightly offshore, known by some as Bathsheba Rock.
3: The Animal Flower Cave is located under the cliffs at North Point, St. Lucy, Barbados. It is the island's lone accessible sea cave. It was discovered by its seaward entrance in 1780 by two English explorers. The cave stands six feet above the high water mark although it was formed at sea level. This has occurred because Barbados is rising at 1 inch per 1000 years. There are coral steps which lead down through an opening in the roof (former blowhole) into the cave, these steps were built in 1912.[1] Inside the cave, still found are some sea anemones, which are locally called animal flowers, whence the cave obtained its name.
Address: North Point, Conneltown, Barbados
4: St Nicholas Abbey is located in Saint Peter, Barbados, and is a plantation house, museum and rum distillery.[1] Colonel Benjamin Berringer built the house in 1658.[2] This house is one of only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere.[2] It's similar to the English Jacobean-era manor houses of the first half of the seventeenth century, the period between the Tudor and Georgian styles, beginning in the reign of James I.
Address: Cherry Tree Hill St. Peter, BB26007, Barbados
5: Farley Hill is a national park in Saint Peter, Barbados. It is on the site of Grenade Hall Plantation, established in the seventeenth century.
Address: 7C73+QVH, Highway 2, Benny Hall, Barbados
6: Beach known for its beauty with rugged cliffs, rolling dunes, clear water & pink-tinged sand.
7: Folkestone Marine Park features an artificial reef, purposefully formed by the sinking of the ship Stavronikita which had been destroyed by fire in 1976. The ship rests in 120ft of water, less than half a mile from the shore. As a result of its depth, diving the Stavronikita is recommended only for experienced divers in the company of others. A major feature of the Museum is an visitor interpretation center for public viewing and education. This features an aquarium with many interesting and rare marine species, including coral and sponges. There is also a photographic exhibit on marine life. Snorkeling & diving around an artificial reef created by a sunken ship, plus kayaking & an aquarium.
Address: 59R5+FXH, Holetown, Barbados
8:Flower Forest Botanical Gardens is a horticultural park and tourist attraction near the village of Bloomsbury, Saint Joseph in Barbados. It is a scenic garden park with attractive flowering plants and tropical trees. The 50-acre (200,000 m2) property was formerly a sugar plantation.
Address: Richmond Road, Melvin Hill, Richmond Rd, Sugar Hill, Barbados
9: Harrison's Cave is a tourist attraction in the country of Barbados, first mentioned in 1795. Tourists can access the subterranean environment on a tramway.
Address: Allen View, Barbados
10: The beach is semi enclosed by high coral cliffs, providing a panoramic view of the south shore. The scene is completed by the presence of tall palm trees that add to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the bay. Always a popular picnic spot, it is also becoming a popular place to live and a number of homes are being built on the tops of the cliffs overlooking the beach and ocean. People who live there report spotting turtles and whales in the waters below the rocks. Bathing here is not recommended, as the waves are very strong, and great care should be shown by those who choose to do so.

Episode 10: Bahamian Blue ♥ Out Island Flamingos & What to do Underway | Sailing Baby Blue Season 2
From the Dominican Republic we sail to Great Inagua in the Bahamas, home to a flock 60,000 flamingos. We take a tour of the island and then depart on another overnight sail to Crooked and Acklins Islands where we feel a little bit like the Swiss Family Robinson. One week of strolling along miles of empty beaches, rummaging around the abandoned settlements, and swimming everyday in pristine water was everything we had missed about the Bahamas.

Bahamas 2015
I recently took a one week trip to Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas. Some of the best days of my life happened on this island and the water around it.
I am so incredibly lucky to be able to travel, and I am so happy I met the amazing Ballard family on this trip! Thank you Bob and Carol for inviting me, and thank you to the Ballard family for making me feel so welcomed. And thank you to Olivia, Belle, Sam, Josh, and Dawson for chasing sharks with me! We are crazy. Maybe we should make a shark chasing show for Discovery?
Shout out to Sam for grabbing my GoPro and chasing after a lot of critters. You got some amazing shots.
