10 Most Hated Towns in England
What are the most hated towns in England? No matter how good a country is, every part of it can’t be loved equally. In fact, some parts of it are bound to be hated. Even the most fanatic lover of a country will love some parts of it less than others. I have heard some people complaining about some towns in England, the home of the Queen that some people are dying to live and work in. That prompts research into the 10 most hated towns in England.
This ranking is based mainly on the comments and complaints of residents of England and visitors to those towns. But it’s not limited to that since some complaints can be completely baseless. We dig deeper in researching these 10 most hated towns in England.
10. Slough
Let’s begin with Slough, a town in Berkshire, within the historic county of Buckinghamshire. This town is 20 miles west of central London and 19 miles northeast of Reading. You will find the town in the Thames Valley and within the London metropolis around the area at the intersection of the M4.
In spite of its location, Slough according to those visitors, is a town whose streets are littered with empty takeaway and full of packets or empty beer cans. This assertion hasn’t been contradicted by even just one resident. The quality of food in the town’s restaurants appears, kind of, made for losers who’re just out to eat as much unhealthy food as they can get away with.
9. Scunthorpe
It’s not desirable to find Scunthorpe among the most hated towns in England. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to take it out of our list because the facts obviously place it there. This industrial town in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire should normally be the pride of Lincolnshire as its main administrative center. But the town with an estimated population of 82,334 in 2016 had many things going against it.
Residents of the UK’s largest steel processing center, also known as the Industrial Garden Town, are frustrated by a lack of the liveliness and diversity in the town only known for work. However, the loudest grouse that lists Scunthorpe alongside the most hated towns in England is the indiscriminate censorship and blocking of websites for spurious reasons.

Places to see in ( Maidenhead - UK )
Places to see in ( Maidenhead - UK )
Maidenhead is a large town in the county of Berkshire, England. Maidenhead lies south-west of the River Thames, but at Maidenhead, the river runs north-south and so the town is on its west bank.
The Maidenhead urban area includes urban and suburban regions within the bounds of the town, called Maidenhead Court, North Town, Furze Platt (which in 2012 gained a conservation area), Pinkneys Green, Highway, Tittle Row, Boyn Hill, Fishery and Bray Wick; as well as built-up areas in surrounding civil parishes: Cox Green and Altwood in Cox Green parish, Woodlands Park in White Waltham parish, and part of Bray Wick in Bray parish. Bray village is linked to Maidenhead by the exclusive Fishery Estate which lies on the banks of the Thames. To the east, on the opposite side of the river from Maidenhead, is the large village of Taplow in Buckinghamshire which almost adjoins the suburban village of Burnham, Buckinghamshire, which is in itself part of the urban area of the large, industrial town of Slough.
Maidenhead clock tower was built for Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee and is located outside the railway station. Maidenhead Bridge was built in 1777. It takes the A4 over the Thames to join Maidenhead to Taplow. All Saints' Church, Boyne Hill was completed in 1857 is one of the finest examples of the early work of the architect G. E. Street. The site is also regarded by many as the premier architectural site in the town. The church, consecrated on 2 December 1857 by Bishop Samuel Wilberforce, became the first ecclesiastical parish in the Borough of Maidenhead. Boulter's Lock is a lock on the river Thames on the east side of Maidenhead. It adjoins Ray Mill Island.
The (Brunel-built) Great Western Main Line passes through the town, calling at Maidenhead railway station and offering frequent, direct services to London, Reading, Newbury and Oxford. Additionally, there are less frequent direct services to Banbury, Hereford, Worcester and Great Malvern. It passes over Brunel's Maidenhead Railway Bridge (known locally as the Sounding Arch), famous for its flat brick arches.
The A4 runs through the town and crosses the Thames over Maidenhead Bridge. The town lies adjacent to junction 8/9 on the M4 motorway and is accessed via the A404(M) and A308(M). The A308(M), A404(M) and A404 form the Marlow and Maidenhead bypass which also acts as an important link between the M4, to the south of the town, and M40 at High Wycombe.
( Maidenhead - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Maidenhead . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Maidenhead - UK

Slough (/slaʊ/) is a large town in Berkshire, England, 20 miles (32 km) west of central London and 18 miles (29 km) north-east of Reading, in the Thames Valley at the intersection of the M4, M40 and M25 motorways
Slough has expanded greatly, incorporating a number of different villages. Original villages that are now suburbs of Slough include Chalvey, Cippenham, Colnbrook, Langley, Poyle, Upton, Wexham , Brands Hill, Britwell, Huntercombe, Manor Park, Salt Hill, Upton Lea and Windsor Meadows.
The urban area merges into the neighbouring parishes of Burnham, a small area of Taplow near Cippenham, Farnham Royal and Stoke Poges which remain in the county of Buckinghamshire and Datchet which is also in Berkshire. Eton is narrowly buffered by the Jubilee River and by green space (mainly the college playing fields) from part of Slough.

Slough Walk: Town Centre【4K】
Located in the county of Berkshire (though historically in Buckinghamshire), and around 20 miles west of central London, is the town of Slough (pronunciation note: rhymes with 'now').
The first known recorded mention of Slough dates back to 1196 where it appears as 'Slo'. This evolved into 'Sloo' in 1336 and finally 'Slough' in the 15th century. For several centuries it was a small village which served as a coaching stop on the route from London to Bath, prior to the coming of the railways.
In 1786 astronomer William Herschel moved to Slough. Herschel, who had discovered the planet Uranus in 1781, built in his garden the largest telescope of the period. It was here that he produced the first true map of the universe, and in doing so, effectively put Slough on the map (figuratively, not the universe map!).
In 1838 Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Western Railway opened its first section between Paddington and Maidenhead (located about six miles west of Slough). Initially, trains stopped at Slough, but it wasn't until 1840 that it received a station of its own. In 1842 Queen Victoria made her first ever railway journey when she travelled from Slough station to Bishop's Bridge in London's Paddington district. In 1849, a branch line was completed from Slough Station to Windsor & Eton Central railway station for the Queen's greater convenience. The towns of Windsor and Eton lie on the south and north banks, respectively of the Thames, just two miles south of Slough.
In 1920 the Slough Trading Estate was established. This was the first business park in the country, and is presently Europe's largest trading estate with several blue chip companies based here.
Historically, Slough was part of Buckinghamshire up until 1974, when the Municipal Borough of Slough was abolished and Slough was incorporated into Berkshire. Before this point, the River Thames was effectively the border between Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
In 2001 the first ever episode of the comedy series The Office aired. This was created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, and was set in Slough. The town is heavily satirised, in particular through the aspect of the boss, David Brent, played by Gervais, acting as an apologist for Slough. The premise of the sitcom would later be exported to various countries, each with their own spin.

Slough is a town in Berkshire, England, in the Thames Valley 20 miles (32 km) west of central London and 19 miles (31 km) north-east of Reading, at the intersection of the M4, M40 and M25 motorways. It is part of the historic county of Buckinghamshire. In 2020, the built-up area subdivision had an estimated population of 164,793. In 2011, the district had a population of 140,713. It borders Greater London and Buckinghamshire.
Slough's population is one of the most ethnically diverse in the United Kingdom, attracting people from across the country and the world for labour since the 1920s, which has helped shape it into a major trading centre. In 2017, unemployment stood at 1.4%, one-third the UK average of 4.5%.
Slough has the highest concentration of UK HQs of global companies outside London. Slough Trading Estate is the largest industrial estate in single private ownership in Europe, with over 17,000 jobs in 400 businesses.[8] Blackberry, McAfee, Burger King, DHL, Telefonica and Lego have head offices in the town.

THE OSTRICH INN 12th Century Haunted English Pub/Inn - A Brief Visual Tour
The Ostrich Inn, located in Slough/Colnbrook which is right besides Heathrow Airport. The pub supposedly dates back to 1106. The historic coaching inn which is a grade II listed freehouse, talks of a story of an Innkeeper and his wife around the 16th century who constructed a hinged bed in one of the rooms that they could open from the kitchen below would then tip the occupant on the bed in the room above straight into the kitchens cauldron......
If you want to stay in this room ask to be put in room 11 (as shown in this video). This pub comes in on most of the Most Haunted pubs in the UK around number 5 to 8 and has also featured in the Most Haunted TV Show.
