The cemetery is located within the grounds of the former Protestant Church of St. Michael and All Angels, in the village of Clane, Co. Kildare.
The Church was decomissioned in 1883, and religious worship by the parishioners was moved to Millicent, Co. Kildare.

St Patrick's Day 2009-Clane-County Kildare-Ireland
It was a bright, sunny, warm day in Clane, County Kildare, Ireland for the 5th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. A massive crowd of residents and folks from all over (including the USA) enjoyed a spectacular day. Our trip was a closely held secret, so as to surprise our great friend, Mary Dunne, the Chairperson for the Festival, along with many friends we've made in Clane. The Parade was a smashing success. Fabulous weather and nothing but happy faces and an imprssive array of terrific floats and marching groups. A wonderful event! We absolutely love Clane and our many friends we've made there. After hearing so much about St. Patrick's Day in Clane, actually being there was a completely thrilling experience...one that we shall never forget! The Parade was the PERFECT culmination to a PERFECT (4 day) St. Patrick's Weekend Festival.
