Today we're taking you on an exciting journey to one of the most underrated destinations around Bangalore, Kaiwara National Park.
Nestled in the heart of Karnataka, this hidden gem is famous for its rich history and natural beauty.
From the great bilingual poet Sri Yogi Kaiwara Narayana Taatha to the legends of Ramayana and Mahabharata, this place is steeped in mythology and culture..

Welcome back. You are watching humhairahi YouTube channel.
In our last episode, you saw us visit the Kalsalagiri hill and explore the Thataha cave temple. But now, it's 2 o'clock and we were all feeling a little hungry.
So, as soon as we parked our vehicle at the entrance of Kaiwara National Park, we set out to find the perfect spot to enjoy our packed home-cooked lunch.
After a short walk, we found a shaded area near the duck pond and set up our picnic.
But, as soon as we began to spread out our carpets and newspaper, we were interrupted by a pack of monkeys approaching us in search of food.
We quickly packed up and made our way to the entrance, where we found a stone bench to sit on.
Despite the unexpected monkey encounter, we were able to enjoy a peaceful lunch with an added sense of adventure.
The taste of our home-cooked meal was even more enjoyable after our little adventure.
Post lunch we were ready to tour the Kaiwara National Park!
This beautiful park is located just 70 km from Bangalore and is the perfect destination for nature lovers and families.
The entry fee is only ₹10 for adults and free for children.
It is located diagonally opposite to Sri Vaikunth temple.
As we enter the park, we are greeted by the lush green landscape and fresh air.
The park is maintained by the Forest Department and has a small zoo.
We take a walk along the 2 km trail and come across a variety of animals such as rabbits, deers, peacocks, ducks, lovebirds, guinea pigs, and monkeys.
We were also lucky enough to spot a couple of deers, one shy and one inquisitive, and the kids had a blast interacting with the hamsters.
We found these two deers, the spotted adult deer was shy and always ran inside when we approached while this little was was too happy to explore and interact.
The kids had lovely time with the hamster and were super happy to feed leaves to them.
Kaiwara is also famous for its connection to mythology. It is believed that the great bilingual poet Sri Yogi Kaiwara Narayana Taatha, also known as Thataiyya, meditated at the hills of Kaiwara.
The park is also said to have ties to the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The park was clean, with decent toilets.
No one else in sight, we had the entire national park to ourselves!
While the park is a great place to visit, there are a few things that could be improved.
There is no clear map inside and not much provisions of snacks or soft drinks nearby.
Also, the park is struggling with water scarcity and many of the animals have been shifted to Mysore zoo.
However, despite these challenges, Kaiwara National Park is a nice calm and quiet place to visit with friends and family.
And with a small temple located just 500 meters from the main gate, it's a great place to combine with a spiritual visit.
It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience to have the entire national park to ourselves, and we're excited to share our adventure with you.

Anegundi Chintamani Temple Complex is one of the real life places of Ramayana that still exists in today's world. We will visit Chintamani temple complex in this video and we will also visit Sri Krishnadevaraya Tomb. Chintamani Temple Complex is a group of various temples in Anegundi. This is the place where Shree Ram and Lakshman happened to meet Shree Hanuman and Sugriva, here Shree Ram rested before defeating Kishkinda King Vali, here we see the cave where Shree Ram, Lakshman, Hanuman and Sugriva strategized the plan to defeat Vali. We have footprints of Shree Ram and Lakshman, and a spot from where Shree Ram hurled the arrow to defeat Vali. This is a unique and very sacred place. Here, Shree Ram rested and worried about how to defeat Vali hence the place is named as Chintamani. And later these temples were built and hence it is called as Chintamani Temple complex. Shree Krishnadevaraya tomb is a memorial for one of the greatest kings in Indian history Shree Krishnadevaraya, third emperor of the great Vijayanagara Empire. I have given details of the Krishnadevaraya tomb in the video as well. Chintamani Temple Complex is really a beautiful place and located on the banks of Tungabhadra river, it is a must visit place if you are in and around Anegundi. It is an ancient, a historical, a mythological place and has a great significance in our culture. Hampi and Anegundi were part of Kishkinda kingdom and both have great history. When you visit such places it is simply beyond words.

Chintamani is a town in Chikkaballapura district in Karnataka state. Chintamani is located at a distance of about 80 Km away from Bangalore.
A few minutes drive from Chintamani will take you to a cave temple located on the hill named Kailasa Giri which was developed by the ex-Home Minister, Chowda Reddy. Kaivara is another tourist attraction of Chintamani, which is located about 11 kilometres away.

Kailash Giri / Kailasa Giri is located after Kaiwara Mountain range at the entrance of Chintamani it has the famous cave temple located on the hill. There are three shrines in Kailasagiri dedicated to Lord Shiva (Four faced), Goddess Parvathi and Lord Ganesha. Kailasagiri, located in Chintamani taluk of Kolar district, it is about 65 km from Bangalore ,the state of Karnataka, India. Bheema Bakana betta is a hillock in the region where, if legend is to be believed, Bheema killed Bakasura. The town of Kaiwara was known as Ekachakrapura in ancient times.
Kaiwara Thathayya or Narayanappa (1730-1840 AD) a famous saint who lived here wrote ‘Amaranarayana Shathaka’ and ‘Kaalagnana’.
