A walk around Cheltenham Park
On the border betwen the cities of Bayside and Kingston is Cheltenham Park. Various areas are dedicated to a combination of a bushland reserve, play and picnic areas, and sports fields. Although the north side of the reserve abuts the busy Park Road, the south side borders the Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetary, the local primary school, a local public golf course and playing fields. This gives some relief from busy suburban noise.
It is easily accessible from Cheltenham railway station and will be linked to the shopping centre when the new station forecourt is completed. I have included a wander around the new Cheltenham Station, which is still being installed. Check out my slide show of photos of the old station and level crossings.
Introducing Regent Street - The Great Taste of Cheltenham
Regent Street is epicentre of the indie food scene in Cheltenham. The street is full of award-winning restaurants, cafes and bars, some run by Michelin trained chefs and even MasterChef winners and finalists. Regent Street is the place to head to for something to eat at ANY time of day as Kishi and The Taste Plug demonstrates in this entertaining video.
Regent Street is located within Cheltenham's theatre district; home of the Everyman Theatre and within walking distance of The Playhouse and Cheltenham Town Hall, which (in normal times) runs a full programme of live entertainment. It is also home to The Find, WoodKraft, Domaine 16 and Aqua Vitae all featured in this video, as well as many other brilliant independently run restaurants, cafes and bars.
We invite you to come and explore Regent Street to experience delicious food and fabulous cocktails...
