Exploring Carnarvon
Our adventure continues arriving in Carnarvon where we explore the local attractions including the Gascoyne River (which is currently flowing) and the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum. The boys also get some excellent home schooling at the Gwoonwardu Mia Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre. Enjoy!

Carnarvon - in die Karoo/Noord-Kaap
Tankwa Karoo National Park; one of South Africa's most underrated destinations
The Karoo is as big as Germany and harbors over 100 villages, towns, settlements and a couple of railway sidings. Despite the proliferation of modernity in this area, the human population is still as sparse as it was back in the 1900s, effectively giving the Karoo an enticing rural feel.
Tankwa has gained popularity as the home of Afrikaburn. Find out more about this underrated destination here:

The Coral Coast: Carnarvon, Warroora and Bullara Stations: S03 Western Australia E11 Road Trip Lap
We had a great time exploring the Coral Coast, finally getting to swim with turtles! The ocean front here is amazing, turquoise waters, so much marine life, combined with really fun station stays. We went into space in Carnarvon, exploring the Space Museum. Warroora Station had a rocky start, but as we explored it more we found some truly great spots. Bullara was our best stay on our trip to date. A combination of rustic charm and old fashioned friendly service. The Coral Coast is truly special, and so much fun to explore, full of amazement.

The One Mile Jetty, Carnarvon
First ever Geocaching event in Carnarvon, Northern cape.
30 September 2023 was the first ever Geocaching event in Carnarvon, Northern cape, South Africa. It was a meet and greet and one of the guests, was the Chairperson of Geocaching of South Africa (Uncle Chem). As soon as everyone sat around the table, he starts talking about and explaining Geocaching. Unplanned he did a great job to help our newbie of 5 finds and the rest of us with 40+ finds to get even more information. Thanks again to Uncle Chem for helping us understand Geocaching better and giving us awesome ideas.
Our newbie here has a project called Forgotten Highway, so she was explaining how Geocaching was so amazing for showing and learning everyone of new and historic places/areas.
This video will be way too long for all the smaller detail and information.

S1 – Ep 156 – Zeekoegat – A Spectacular Gravel Road From Vosburg to Carnarvon!
We always say that taking the quiet gravel roads and back roads are what we love to do! This gravel road past Zeekoegat just once again proved us right. It was absolutely spectacular. Our hosts in Vosburg told us about this road to Carnarvon. The wildlife we saw on this road was fantastic, not to mention the utter beauty of the Karoo which we had all to ourselves. We only saw one person in the veld with a camera and that was it. The rest of the time we were on our own and loved every minute of it. This is another one of those which we will be storing in our memory banks. Enjoy! #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #vosburg #zeekoegat #carnarvon
