Carnarvon - Australia Travel Video

Carnarvon, Australia Travel Video - On Yinggarda country at the mouth of the Gascoyne River, fertile Carnarvon, with its fruit and vegetable plantations and thriving fishing industry, makes a pleasant stopover between Denham and Exmouth. This friendly, vibrant town has quirky attractions, a range of decent accommodation, well-stocked supermarkets and great local produce. The tree-lined CBD exudes a tropical feel, and the palm-fringed waterfront is a relaxing place to amble. The long picking season from March to January ensures plenty of seasonal work. Floods devastated the area in December 2010 and many businesses are still recovering.

Wintersun Caravan Park | Carnarvon Western Australia

In July 2020 we enjoyed several nights at Wintersun Caravan Park, a peaceful, well-maintained caravan park located in Carnarvon, Western Australia.

We created this promotional video for Wintersun Caravan Park to showcase its many amenities. We truly enjoyed our time in Carnarvon, and our comfortable stay at Wintersun Caravan Park really helped us relax and enjoy the area.

During our road trip of Western Australia, we stayed at a few caravan parks, and we found Wintersun Caravan Park to be the most friendly, relaxing, and well-run. The caravan and camping sites were large and shaded, there was a new jumpy pillow for the kids to enjoy, and there were lots of fun activities and events to enjoy. From Sunday breakfast pancakes, to weekly spud night, to live music and a big screen for watching games, it felt like there was always something going on.

To learn more and to make a reservation, please visit: Wintersun Caravan Park, Carnarvon, Australia

Carnarvon Fruit Loop Trail and a GIANT Cactus! Western Australia.

In this video we show you the Carnarvon Fruit Loop Trail in Western Australia. Located 227 miles south of Exmouth and 200 miles from Shark Bay, Carnarvon is a great place to stop for anyone traveling the Coral Coast. Take the time to relax, recharge, and of course, stock up on some affordable fresh fruit and veg along the Carnarvon Fruit Loop Trail.

On our Coral Coast Road Trip, we decided to spend a couple of nights at the WinterSun Caravan Park. . A lovely park which is perfectly located to explore the Fruit Loop Trail and go hunting around Carnarvon for some of the biggest ‘instagram famous’ cactus you will ever see! - not hard to find :)

Watch our Wintersun Caravan Park promotion video we made:

The scenic Fruit Loop Trail takes you past working farms, some of which have roadside ‘honesty stalls’ where you can pick a wide range of fruits and vegetables depending on the time of year. These are unmanned stands, hence the name ‘honesty stands’. You simply leave your payment in a box! You’ll need to make sure you have exact change.

Carnarvon is not only known for its Fruit Loop Trail and the Cactus Garden, little did we know, Carnarvon produces roughly 80% of Western Australia's total fruit and vegetable crops, and much of the state's seafood with a thriving prawn, scallop, crab, and fishing industry. That's a lot of food!

So the next time you are in Australia and traveling up the west coast, be sure to swing by Carnarvon, check out the Fruit Loop Trail, and snap your perfect selfie with what will likely be the biggest cactus you’ll find in Western Australia... #catchyouincarnarvon

Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum

The Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum celebrates the little known history of the vital role Carnarvon played in getting rocket ships to outer space and back to Earth Safely.

The museum focuses on two parts. The Carnarvon Tracking Station and the OTC Satellite Earth Station, for which each station played separate roles in the early space industry.

This segment was featured on Destination WA.

Carnarvon, six caravan parks and not much to do!

Carnarvon has no less than six caravan parks, plus hotels and motels, so it’s obviously a popular place…in season.
But we arrived out of the main season. We stayed at Discovery Parks in Carnarvon and it was half empty, as we’re all the other parks and motels in town.
Still the popular Carnarvon space & technology museum was busy. The one mile jetty museum was not, and after the scenic dive to Quobba, the Quobba blowholes put on a show fo us in the wind.

The Coral Coast: Carnarvon, Warroora and Bullara Stations: S03 Western Australia E11 Road Trip Lap

We had a great time exploring the Coral Coast, finally getting to swim with turtles! The ocean front here is amazing, turquoise waters, so much marine life, combined with really fun station stays. We went into space in Carnarvon, exploring the Space Museum. Warroora Station had a rocky start, but as we explored it more we found some truly great spots. Bullara was our best stay on our trip to date. A combination of rustic charm and old fashioned friendly service. The Coral Coast is truly special, and so much fun to explore, full of amazement.
